Look! A traffic jam…intentionally created for voters…who are disproportionately Black

It happened because OHs Sec-State required that the only drop box location of a county be at the ONLY in-person vote location of that county

Impressed, other states..

…are passing laws that would add the same inevitable traffic jams to their early vote locations

Georgia, for example, had many drop boxes in 2020. They were used by countless voters; but…far more by Black voters who voted for Biden.

So Georgia passed a law to not only…

…reduce them, but to co-locate them with early vote centers.

Why? Traffic jams.

Intentional traffic jams. For disproportionately voters of color.

Iowa and Florida passed the same limitation.

A Wisconsin bill would do the same.

Texas banned drop boxes entirely.

Wow.

Reading the brief challenging the Ohio GOP Congressional maps.

Proves that they used 2 sets of books—an internal (real) one to show members their districts were being rigged; then an external one to falsely make those districts appear competitive: supremecourt.ohio.gov/pdf_viewer/pdf…
If the GOP enacted map had been in place for the 2020 election, Republicans would’ve won 13 out of 15 US House seats.
There were 5,000 simulated plans created using the new criteria in the Ohio Constitution….the map enacted by the GOP created more GOP districts than any of those 5,000 simulations!!

After losing in every court in which he made a sham legal argument, LaRose is still lying about it.

He’s also lying about how it all happened.

This is master class stuff by LaRose. He’s so comfortable & casual lying about something over such a long period of time. So publicly. So provably false.

It’s disturbing.

But it’s also important to call out dishonesty. This thread will point out every lie. W receipts.

Re drop boxes, LaRose starts by saying “this is something where the legislature has to weigh in on this”

🚨 Bald-faced lie

We took him to court over this lie; every court ruled that this assertion is false. That he has the power to add drop boxes in multiple locations.

VIDEO/THREAD: A suggested path forward

Some of you have seen this video. Others haven’t. Either way, take a look. It’s more relevant now than when I first posted it.

Lots of talk about how Dems are failing to talk to rural Americans. And about how no one knows what’s in the…
…the bills being finalized in Congress. About the need to protect voting rights and democracy.

Truth is, as the video shows, they’re all connected. Deep decay in our democracy is leading to a decay in infrastructure, small towns, big cities, and so much of our country.

We need to get to towns like Manchester & explain: “you see what trickle-down has gotten you? A dying town. A ghost town. People leaving. Lost jobs. Well, the BBB plan before Congress lets us get in here, fix these..”

The Texas law is an abomination.

Not only because it bans abortions outright, which is a violation of the Constitution, but because it attempts to deprive citizens of their right to protect themselves from this attack through its vigilante/bounty hunter tactic.

In that way, the law is also an attack on the basic construct of the rule of law in our nation. It’s a double whammy: violating established constitutional rights, while attempting to deprive those whose rights are violated from being able to protect their rights in court.

We can only hope the court sees through this monstrous tactic.

But here’s the problem.

Even if it’s struck down, another statehouse will try something new. And another will try another tactic. And so on and so on.
