7 surefire steps to reaching your goals in 2022:
1. Reflect on the Past Year

Acknowledge the challenges, the losses, the lessons learned, the wins.

How did you grow?
Who have you become?

These are the seeds for the year ahead.
2. Connect with Your Dreams

Acknowledge your secret 'impossible' dreams.

They are not frivolous or childish.

They provide direction and fuel.

You need them to power your life.

3. Rethink Your Goals

Real goals are “actionable, measurable behaviors that lead to outcomes. They are not outcomes." @ThisIsSethsBlog

To reach your goals, you must first become the kind of person who writes a book, does a TED Talk, founds a startup.
It's an identity shift.

❌ I will write a book this year.
✔️ I am an author.

❌ I will do a TED Talk this year.
✔️ I am a speaker.

❌ I will start that business.
✔️ I am a founder.
4. Embrace the New Lifestyle

You must not only be willing to accept the sacrifices required to achieve your goal.

To be consistent, you must enjoy them.

"Everybody wants a gold medal. Few people want to train like an Olympian." @JamesClear
Relish the process.

The late great @kobebryant is an ideal example of someone who relished the process.

Former Lakers player and head @official_bscott once found an 18-year-old Bryant

shooting in a dark gym

2 hours before practice.

Be like Kobe!
5. Configure Your Schedule

Nothing changes unless you schedule it.

It's not about monthly targets or weekly tasks. Those are useful, but not critical.

It's about building a day-to-day that matches your new identity.
Author - write every morning for 30 minutes before starting work

Speaker - practice speaking 15 minutes every afternoon at 2:00

Founder - work on prototype for 30 minutes every night

Put it on your schedule!
6. Live It Everyday

Ultimately, this is where the battle is won on lost.

What's the day-to-day lifestyle of a person who accomplishes your goals?

You only have 24 hours each day.

How you spend your time = who you are/become.

Prioritize who you want to be!
But don't stress.

You only need to be 1% better each day.

After a year that makes you 37% better.

That's the power of compounding working in your favor.

7. Be Open to the Unexpected

'We must let go of the life we’ve planned, so as to have the life that is waiting for us.' -Joseph Campbell

Life rarely plays out the way we plan it.

What you're seeking may show up in unexpected ways.

Be ready!
I hope this is helpful as you prepare for the new year.

Remember to have fun, be kind to others, love yourself, and celebrate this incredible opportunity called life.

Here's to a great 2022!

Everyone's born unique, loaded with original possibilities.

But we lose ourselves and become imitators.

Here's how to be original (again):
We are completely unique beings.

Our soul, talents, experiences, journey are all 100% unique and original.

So how did we end up as imitators, copying what others have done?

Why is 99% of the world, repackaging, at best?
Some will say originality is a myth, that there is nothing new under the sun.

These are lies.

Every single person is 100% original and fully capable of original thought.
