A few months ago, HUD launched House America: An All-Hands-On-Deck Effort to Address the Nation’s Homelessness Crisis.

And with 2022 quickly approaching, I'd be remiss if I didn't thank the mighty team I fight alongside to reduce homelessness in this country.

Follow along:
From HUD's New England region, I welcome Worcester, MA to #HouseAmerica's team. I applaud Boston, MA and the great states of Maine and Vermont for announcing their own sets of goals.

Thank you, @TweetWorcester, @MayorKimJaney, @GovJanetMills, and @GovPhilScott.

Thank you, @MayorHancock for your commitment to our work to House America.
In HUD's Pacific Region, I welcome Santa Barbara County, CA; Tucson and Phoenix, AZ; and LA County, CA to #HouseAmerica. I applaud Mesa, AZ; King City, San Fransisco, LA City, Oakland, Sacramento, San Jose, and San Diego, CA & the state of California for setting housing goals.

Thank you, @MayorJenny and @CityofBend.
Finally, I thank @ChuckHoskin_Jr, Principal Chief of Cherokee Nation for signing on to #HouseAmerica and committing to reduce homelessness across Cherokee Nation.
This initiative wouldn't be possible without this team of local and state leaders.

I'm so proud to be in this fight with you all. Let's do everything we can to end homelessness.

Every time I see one of these stories, like the story in Marin County, I am reminded why the work we do at @HUDGov to combat appraisal bias through the interagency Property Appraisal and Valuation Equity task force (#PAVETaskForce) is so important. 2/ pressdemocrat.com/article/news/a…
HUD, along with @AmbRice46 and the @WhiteHouse Domestic Policy Council, is taking on these issues from the root.

And early next year, we're planning to put forward a set of actions and recommendations that will help end these discriminatory practices for good. 3/
