ADVISORY: If you are planning on attending the #NewYearsEve celebration in Times Square tomorrow, please be advised of the following access points, road closures, and transit information.

Access Points: open at 3:00 PM

🟢 38th Street : 6th & 8th Avenues
🟢 49th Street : 6th & 8th Avenues
🟢 52nd Street : 6th & 8th Avenues
🟢 56th Street : 6th & 8th Avenues

Prohibited Items:

🚫Umbrellas, backpacks, lawn chairs, coolers and large bags prohibited
🚫Alcohol beverages
🚫Property may not be abandoned at checkpoints

Note: Attendees who leave before the ball drops will not be able to gain entry to their original viewing area

Street Closures: starting at 4:00 AM

🚫Seventh Avenue, from 42nd to 49th Street
🚫Broadway, from 42nd to 49th Street
🚫43rd to 48th Street, from Sixth to Eighth Avenue

Additional Street Closures: starting at 11:00 AM

🚫Southbound 7th Ave & Broadway from 38th to 59th Street, from Sixth to Eighth Avenue
🚫38th to 59th Street, from Sixth to Eighth Avenue

Beginning at 11 AM, commercial vehicles, trucks & other large vehicle will not be able to access:
🚫North of 6th Ave from 34th to 59th Street
🚫North on 8th Ave from 34th to 59th Street
🚫East of 9th Ave from 37th to 59th Street
🚫West of 5th Ave from 35th to 59th Street

Transit Access:

🚫47th St & Broadway subway egress will be closed beginning at 4 AM Friday until approximately 12:15 AM Saturday
🚫42nd St & 7th Ave subway egress will be closed beginning at 10 AM Friday until approximately 12:15 AM Saturday

Additional Transit Changes:

🚫Southbound & northbound N/R/W lines will bypass the 49th St station beginning at noon Friday until approx. 12:15 AM Saturday
🚫The northbound IRT "#1" train will bypass the 50th St station beginning at noon Friday until approx. 12:15 AM Saturday

‘Twas the month before Christmas when all through the street,

Not a creature was stirring, just some cops on their beat.

Sent to greet a tall spruce with the utmost of care,

And deliver it safely, to midtown somewhere.

New Yorkers were nestled all snug in their beds, while visions of pizza danced in their heads.

And the cop in his boots, and Sarge in his cap, just gassed up their tanks and followed theIr map.

When out near Rock Center, rose such a clatter,

some guys sprang from the bar, and were like “what’s the matter?”

“Nothing to see here” we said with a wink,

“It’s only November, it’s not what you think”
