Around 18 months ago, I felt ready to start applying for leadership roles again.
My confidence had been shattered, I had a new and sub-ideal narrative to explain to prospective employers, and I felt lost.
But behind me stood the might and experience of @WomenEd
I was offered an interview, and to ready myself to put across my new circumstances in a confident way, I was offered a chat with the Queen herself - @ViviennePorritt
Her wealth of experience leadership reassured me that far from being freak - my non linear path was desirable
She coached me to answer strategically, and we made sure I was confident in explaining my journey.
I wasn’t successful - we talked through my feedback and she helped me to find the positives.
Although I wasn’t successful that time - I took her advice for my next interviews
And in time, I found the right role, in the right school, and I was successful.
From her humble acceptance tweets today, I don’t think she realises how special she makes us feel, when she lifts us up, when she makes the impossible possible.
DFE email drop - the highlights as I understand them:

- close contacts to LFT for 7 days
- vulnerable children update to include those previously known to social care, and to include those with concerns around parents
- a few more air cleaning units available to apply for
