1. With the Excellence Programme, Wageningen University aims to attract excellent students that have a prospect of studying a PhD after their MSc graduation.

International MSc students from outside the European Economic Area (including Switzerland) starting an MSc programme in September 2022 or February 2023.

Scholarship amount
Tuition fee waiver for 24 months.

All MSc applications that have been submitted before this deadline will be assessed by the selection committee.

3. Africa Scholarship Programme (ASP)
The Africa Scholarship Programme offers talented and motivated students from Africa the unique opportunity to pursue a Master’s degree at Wageningen University.
For who?
International MSc students from Africa starting an MSc programme in September 2022 or February 2023.

Scholarship amount
Full scholarship for a Wageningen University MSc Programme.
MSc application deadline
3 January 2022. All MSc applications that have been submitted before this deadline will be assessed by the selection committee.

Can I apply for this scholarship?
This scholarship is based on invitation. It’s not possible to apply directly.
4. The Anne van den Ban Fund (ABF)
The Anne van den Ban Fund allows talented students from developing countries to study at Wageningen University.
The scholarships are assigned to students in close cooperation with the university and can be combined with the WU Fellowship Programme.

For who?
International students from developing countries starting an MSc programme in September 2022 or February 2023.
Scholarship amount
Full and partial scholarships.

1 February 2022 All MSc applications that have been submitted before this deadline will be assessed by the selection committee.
Can I apply for this scholarship?
This scholarship is based on invitation. It’s not possible to apply directly.
Selection results will be communicated to selected candidates only16 May 2022.
5. Wageningen University Fellowship Programme (WUFP)
With the WU Fellowship Programme, Wageningen University & Research aims to attract talented students with a non-EEA nationality by offering them financial support by means of waiving some or all of the tuition fees.
If possible, the tuition fee waiver is combined with co-financing from other funds, like the Anne van den Ban Fund, so that a (nearly) complete scholarship can be offered.
For who
International MSc students from outside the European Economic Area (including Switzerland) starting an MSc programme in September 2022 or February 2023.
Scholarship amountFull or partial tuition fee support.
MSc application deadline
1 February 2022. All MSc applications that have been submitted before this deadline will be assessed by the selection committee.
Can I apply for this scholarship?
This scholarship is based on co-financing with funds and organisations. It’s not possible to apply directly.
6. Orange Tulip Scholarship (OTS)
The Orange Tulip Scholarship is organised by Nuffic Neso and gives talented BSc- and MSc students, the opportunity to study at Wageningen University & Research.
For who
Talented BSc and MSc students from Brazil, Russia, Korea, Vietnam and South-Africa starting a BSc- or MSc programme in September 2022 or February 2023.

Scholarship amount
Reduction of 25% on the regular tuition fee for non-EU/EFTA students.
OTS application deadline
1 May 2022.

Can I apply for this scholarship?
The application procedure for this scholarship is coordinated by Nuffic Neso.

7. Holland Scholarship (HSP)
The Holland Scholarship Program is financed by the Dutch Ministry of Education,Culture & Science,
Dutch research universities, and universities of applied sciences. Students eligible for this scholarship are students from selected countries who are applying for the first year of a Master’s programme at Wageningen University.
For who
Excellent applicants from Brazil, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Guatemala, Honduras, India, Indonesia, Japan, Mexico, Peru, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey, United Kingdom,
United States or Vietnam starting an MSc programme in September 2022 or February 2023.

Scholarship amount
One-time payment of €5000, €10.000 or €15.000.
Applications accepted from 1 February 2022.
Application deadline
1 May 2022.All applications that have been submitted before this deadline will be assessed by the selection committee.

Writing your Diversity Statement.

I strongly recommend this article.

Here are seven suggestions to consider as you write your diversity statement.

1. Tell your story. If you have overcome obstacles to get to where you are, point those out.
2. Focus on commonly accepted understandings of diversity and equity. Concentrate on issues such as race, gender, social class and sexual orientation.
3. Avoid false parallels. Focus on writing about what you do know. If you feel comfortable getting personal, you can write about your own experiences of privilege or oppression. But you don’t have to get personal; you can cite statistics or studies to make your points.
