"I like people admitting they were stupid , I know I will perform better if I rub my nose in mistakes "
- Charlie Munger
Hence Sharing my Investment Mistakes with you In this Thread 🧵
These 2 mistakes that I am talking are at the time when I had just entered the stock market and didn't know anything about fundamental & business analysis
1. Tata Motors -
So in Jan 2021 everyone was pretty bullish on Tata Motors
One of the reason was that Rakesh Jhunjhunwala had invested in this Business
And at that time I didn't know anything what is fundamentals of any company
Hence in herd mentality I invested in Tata Motors solely on basis that they are entering Electric Vehicle
And then after 3-4 months being in stock market , I learned little bit about fundamentals analysis & I looked at fundamentals of Tata Motors
& Realised that they weren't in a good state
Mistake - Didn't get fundamentals of company before investing into it
Lesson Learned- Never Invest in any company without looking at its fundamentals
2. JK Paper
I had bought tata Motors & jk paper at almost Same time
But after 3-5 months this stock rallied a lot , and within next 3-5 months I had got returns of around 40%
And I though that "abhi itna baad juka hai aur kitna badega " and sold it out
But soon after that it went up more & more , if I had held it I would have gotten my first 1X bagger
Mistake - Never think that - "Aur kitna badega"
Lesson Learnt - Always think in terms of Revenue growth & profit growth l If both are increasing stock prices will follow
