when suga has a bad dream, he thrashes about in bed, mumbles incoherently, and even cries actual tears.

the first time this happened when they were in bed together, it scared daichi shitless.

over the years, daichi’s learned how to wake suga up from the nightmare. it doesn’t take much, honestly. daichi just wraps his arms around suga and reminds him in a whisper that he’s safe with daichi. he kisses suga and holds him until he falls back asleep.

one night, it happens again. suga’s crying, tears leaking from the corners of his eyes, mumbling “no, no, you can’t.”

like he’s done countless times before. daichi drapes an arm around his waist and softly says, “hey. i’m here, koushi. you’re okay. i’m here.”
