We begin sleep training the baby tonight 😅. Wish us luck!
We are doing the takingcarababies approach of pop ins every 15 min, touch soothing interventions but no pick ups, and 2 feedings at 10:30pm/1:30am.
So, I’ll be coding something tonight while he’s crying behind me…
One question we had was what do you do if baby can’t roll from front to back consistently? Just help roll him on the pop in? That’s our plan.
Here we go…!
Immediately went to sleep in 2 min without crying. Was so tired ❤️
Crying has begun 💔
He did it!!! Back asleep. Night y’all till 10:30p feeding.
Why is this baby awake again 😭
After lots of crying, he is currently just quietly chillin’ sucking on his fingers—I have to wait till he’s asleep, then attempt to feed.
Asleep! Short cry ❤️
Woke him up for the night feed: 2.25oz. Now he’s just making cute sounds and entertaining himself in the crib 🥺
Zero crying. He’s back asleep and now I get to sleep…hopefully till 1:30am
Feeding #2
Jeez, that was a long cry. Almost threw in the towel and asked the wife to help to get some sleep, He’s finally asleep after the feed and I am super tired (and hungry now?). 🥱
Wife took him at 6am. I slept in till now and survived.

A graph of how the night went that’s pretty cool. Pink thingies are me doing pop-ins.
My wife mentioned that if we are playing Baby Simulator 5, this is the big boss battle.
Night 2 and the kiddo practically slept through the whole night 🤯
I realize some people struggle with whether this is a good idea or not so if you’re on the fence, I found this article which does a great job going over the research: emilyoster.substack.com/p/sleep-traini…
Night 2 results:
Night 3 begins… 🤞🏾
Night 3 results:
I made a slight mistake picking him up at 5:24am for wake up vs just waiting till 6am. The wake ups prior are feeding events. Kid is sleeping like a log otherwise—life after 7pm is great now!
I think it is likely will begin weaning him off of food soon. Maybe 1 feeding at 10:30 where he seems to eat the most and then that's it.
Night 4 begins…so far has not been great
Night 7 was👌🏾
We can finally finish TV shows again.
Night 8 was great until around 3am. We tried a no feeding night.
I learned a lot more about V8s Ignition interpreter and new ML advancements 😅
Night 9: only 1 feeding at 3:30am. Kid crushed it.

If I was a young or a college student in need of a little income per month, now is a brief window of opportunity where you can make really easy apps dedicated to solving one problem using ChatGPT in a single step where many back and forth chats are required. Make the UI visual.
Sometimes a few thousand dollars per month can empower you to think more ambitiously and the product building itself will teach you a lot about how to make things people want.
Oops typo. I thought Twitter had an edit button but I can't find it :(
2/ Playground now features a powerful collaborative Canvas editor to layer multiple edits on top of each other.
This goes beyond text-to-image giving you more control to make fine grained changes.
3/ Combine multiple elements to make an amazing image with more fine-grained control:
- Cut out a bear
- Add a bear into a forest background
- Get its edge + depth masks
- Add a balloon
- Draw a basic arm holding the balloon

2/ Playground is building a browser based graphics editor using advances in AI so people can create graphics like a pro without being one.
3/ We've done this with 6 people and know how to make it successful.
I believe in this so much because I did this in between Mixpanel and Playground with another company.
You'll have one meeting a week + code the remainder.
