I finally finished it!! This is the first time I designed a cross stitch from a photo or anything even close to this size. Took me about 5 months but I'm so pleased with how it's turned out. 😍😍
What to do next...? @BTS_twt#btsfanart#btsfancraft
Ugh, and now I'm feeling the itch to do more...but I need a good picture to base the next one on.
I'm seriously thinking of doing one per member, but I don't know what I'd use for the others.
Any ideas??
Oh wow, thank you to everyone for the wonderfully supportive comments!
This is a skill I learnt from my mum and I've always used it as an activity to relax after work etc. It's nice to share this one with ARMY 💜💜
And thank you for some great suggestions for future projects!!
So...I just woke up to this blowing up. 😳😳THANK YOU so much for all of the amazing encouragement!
Some details people are asking for:
It ended up as 25.5cm x 35.5cm, or 10.5" x 14"
It was stitched over 14 count black aida fabric, which helped make him pop out.
To make the pattern I used a computer programme to convert the photo into DMC thread colours and then edited it to reduce the number of colours (although it still used 77💜 different threads) and add the backstitch detailing.
The NEVERMIND lettering was definitely the most complicated as it still ended up very small. I had a plan worked out on the computer, which I mostly followed, but there was a lot of splitting of the crosses underneath and half stitches, so I did edit slightly as I stitched.
Would I sell my pieces? No, sorry. It takes months of after work/weekend time and is purely a way of relaxing so I wouldn't want to put monetary pressure on that.
Sell the pattern? Maybe. I'm not sure how to monetise it though. Etsy??
I am DEFINTELY going to be making more patterns. This was sooo satisfying to finish.
Alright, I set up my first Etsy store to sell the patttern!
I never really planned to make money out of this, but a little extra cash can be put towards the next project's materials/pay for the next @BTS_twt album
