Biden is not serious about fixing climate change, and this is more evidence of that.

Any time they talk about climate change, and don't show how they are trying to expand nuclear power, we should reject their assertions forthwith.

I'm sick and tired of the doubletalk.
We could quite easily end carbon pollution by the US in a decade or two.

Democrats are CHOOSING TO POLLUTE INSTEAD. They would rather have the issue than the solution.

Well, if you are part of the obstruction to a cleaner tomorrow, you are part of the problem.
I refuse to take a back seat to lying, mendacious progressives who clearly don't want to solve the problem.

I wish conservatives would take up the cause, but that's hoping for too much.

Trump was terrible on this issue.

But you know who was better on this issue than Obama and Biden? GEORGE W. BUSH. I am not even kidding. Under Bush, our carbon pollution dropped for the first time, mostly because of natural gas production...while becoming ENERGY INDEPENDENT.
Bush also had a vision of a future where the US expanded nuclear power for nations across the globe, such as India.

DEMOCRATS BLOCKED HIS EFFORTS FOR ALMOST A DECADE. We lost 10 years because of people like Obama.
Nobody should trust Democrats on this issue anymore. Sure, don't trust GOP either. I wouldn't trust anyone that is able to make tangible progress in real ways, instead of empty talk.
Again...we can solve this problem IN A DECADE OR TWO.

And the GOP isn't going to do it. So Dems have to.

And Democrats are CHOOSING TO TAKE A PASS.

We deserve to fail.

Let me tell you a little story: Here in Ohio, access to mAB has been narrowing. Most of the big hospital providers stopped using it, because the argument was it doesn't work with Omicron (even though lot of Delta cases remained).

So...the obvious problem...
My wife had a patient whose mother was unvaccinated (😡) with lot of comorbidities, got sick. What was she to do? Her oxygen was dropping, etc.

My wife had to fight to get her into one of the mAB clinics that was still providing access. She did, the patient recovered quickly.
Hospital systems are over burdened, hyper-regulatory monsters some times. They do a lot of good, but one thing they do NOT do well is adapt to fast changing situations.

Florida is doing the right thing...get access out the fastest way possible.

These are among the highest vaccinated states in America.

Transmission is not being slowed ANYWHERE.

Hospitalizations and deaths are muted because of vaccines though. That is a great thing. But even hospitalizations are high, just because of the huge number of people.
And there is almost no evidence that places with vax or mask mandates are controlling transmission either...no matter what SCOTUS says.
Simply put:

1. VACCINES SAVE LIVES.
2. We have utterly failed in controlling transmission.
3. This wave is different than the others.

Nothing in our lifetimes....NOTHING...will cause as much racial disparity in education as our reaction to the COVID Pandemic.

Even the funding disparities we've had will pale in comparison to the damage we are now doing.

mckinsey.com/industries/pub…
This disparity is GROWING as more inner city (read: MINORITY) districts go virtual in this phase of the pandemic than suburban districts.

This is not because of money, or greed, or whatever...this is because of POOR CHOICES.
It will, on average, take FIVE SCHOOL YEARS for minority students to make up this deficit, and that is assuming they have the educational opportunities to even attempt to catch up...which is unlikely.

Maybe I am naïve, or stupid, or both, but to me the problems if 1/6 are pretty easily fixed. The combination of bad laws and police incompetence made that day possible, and both are fixable, no?
Reforming the Electoral College Count act would remove Congress from the equation. This was never supposed to be in their power any way; this was always a power that was supposed to reside in the states.

washingtonpost.com/politics/2022/…
"One option is to make it clear that the VP can’t override will of voters in states as she or he counts the votes. Yuval Levin : “It should be pretty clear that it needs to be clarified, that a vice president shouldn’t have to be in the position of saying no to the president.”"

Was 1/6 equal to 9/11?

Ludicrous. Of course not. The comparison is absurd on its face.

Was 1/6 a terrorist action?

Um...no matter what @TuckerCarlson stupidly says, by any definition, it was a terror act.

Lot of things we ignore were; BLM riots, the baseball shooting, etc.
If you use violence to get political change, especially against civilians, its by any definition terrorism.

Were most of the people there to cause terror for political purposes? Nah. I bet maybe 5% of them were at most.

Were the most violent idiots basically terrorists? YES.
I know, these are inconvenient truths. Its inconvenient for liberals to accept that rioters from BLM riots in the summer of 2020 were terrorists too. But they clearly were.

The more we allow idiots to use violence for political motives, the worse off we will be.
