@wesyang "Gender" has become vague, ever-shifting, undefinable essence in some ways similar to the place soul has in traditional religions. It's interior, knowable only by the subject yet changeable, beyond the subject's control, immaterial but needing changes to the body >>
@wesyang outside the physical yet requiring surgeries, hormone, clothing to comfort outer appearance to interior (what? understanding? experience of some kind?). It's inside ourselves yet demands recognition, respect of others. It requires others to change their language. It demands >>
@wesyang dignity, acknowledgement, changes to history, previous documentation, names everywhere. "Gender" requires exterior, social, physical changes far more than other religious practices. Monks may have shaved their heads but they never needed multiple surgeries, removal >>
@wesyang of body parts. Priest are celibate but they can leave priesthood & marry, have children. Genders can change over & over unlimited times, whereas souls never change. The number of genders in unknown, unknowable. 7? 43? 10,009? I have one soul. Can I have multiple genders? >>
@wesyang Who can answer such questions? Who are theologians of gender? Will there be High Councils of gender leaders to decide, like Council of Nicea? Or does genderology create a free for all? Wild chaotic world where I have 13 genders, 6 known, 5 changing & 2 unknowable but you have 3?
