This is the 7th study I know of showing vaccines prevent severe illness (and death) in adolescents.

As usual, pay attention to who won’t share this.

I have not lost my capacity to be astonished at the willingness of fringe doctors like @DrJBhattacharya to simply make up numbers.

This (from 7/21) is just entirely fabricated.

Vaccine hero @DrPaulOffit is credible when he says that he doesn’t think healthy young males need a booster because he hasn’t spent the past year trashing vaccines for kids in general while minimizing the virus at every chance.

He’s humble and admits error.
I’ve not discussed this topic except to say, the virus poses a low risk to healthy, twice vaccinated young males, but so does the vaccine.

I have sympathy for people who have to make tough choices with limited info in a shifting pandemic.

Here it is.
In a happy surprise, they correctly state the number of kids who’ve died in this age group. They minimize it by using the entire population. Anything that kills kids will sound low this way.

Covid is in fact a leading cause of death for kids. They don’t tell you that.

Myocarditis rates in teen boys about 1:10000 after two doses. Nothing drastically new here I think but lends credence to giving one shot in healthy teens in low risk areas.
From vaers there are 19 people less than 30 in the hospital now. Certainly not all cases are reported. But likely the number of times some people (like me) have discussed the condition exceeds the number of people currently hospitalized.
77% have no symptoms at present. The rest are hopefully head that direction.

Avoiding activity for 3-6 months is not trivial and long term monitoring is needed as always.
