"When I critique racism, white Germans suddenly see me as white myself and assume that I wouldn’t know how racism really feels.
Denying my experience and identity is supposed to strip my critique of its legitimacy..." [1/2]
"People in positions of power employ this form of silencing in order to render it impossible
for those affected by discrimination to voice their own experience: because they consider me either too agitated to speak with reason or too calm to be actually affected."
From: "Looks" by Hengameh Yaghoobifarah, translated by Jonas Teupert

So many folks were pillars of their community, and in a very real way: taking on duties, doing emotional labor, quietly cleaning things up without being told or paid.
The COVID-19 pandemic did the following:
• made community and friend gatherings potentially lethal.
• gave everyone a healthy dose of extra tasks to manage and extra anxiety around those tasks
• severed long-standing community care networks and mutual support

My top 10 *underrated* pre-PbtA indie TRPGs looks something like:

1. Tales of the Fisherman’s Wife

4. Shock
5. InSpectres
6. In a Wicked Age
7. Mist-Robed Gate

And this is because the highly rated ones are the ones you’ve heard of:

5. Puppetland
6. Dogs in the Vineyard
7. My Life With Master
8. carry
