The amount of saturated fat the typical keto dieter is required to consume long term almost certainly increases your risk of heart disease more than whatever extra weight you were carrying, even if it worked for long term weight loss
Yes, the 80s and 90s diet craze with "FATS BAD CARBS GOOD" was stupid

The current insane backlash of "CARBS BAD FATS GOOD" is, in all likelihood, actually stupider
This complete bullshit that fat is the human body's natural food source and it's only ever harmful when processed and "seed oils" are the cause of all of fat's negative effects but if you just chug butter and lard (putting it in coffee and shit) you'll be fine is really bad
The best advice is to just eat like a fucking normal person

And yes, there is no actual definition of "normal", that's the point

People should be very aware that most people who want you to lose weight don't actually give a flying fuck one way or the other about your health, they just hate the existence of fat people
They would welcome a magic pill that turned all fat people skinny, but AS WE CAN CLEARLY SEE they would also welcome a magic plague that instantly killed all fat people right now

It would serve them right for eating too much and be a good incentive to not get fat
In fact they're actively frustrated that God hasn't seen fit to do that yet and lets the fatties continue to live as a "drain on the system" for so long

They welcome the idea of COVID wiping out the fats the way they did AIDS wiping out the gays

One fun fact is that because monoclonal antibodies, as the name implies, are all identical, unlike the ones made by your own body in response to mRNA with a certain range of variation, they already don't work on Omicron anymore
So that's one possible treatment (if an incredibly expensive one) for someone with primary immunodeficiency who can't make their own antibodies down the tubes
Regeneron has to make a whole new formula tailored to Omicron if it becomes the dominant variant, involving infecting a bunch of mice or raccoons or whatever mammals with Omicron and then taking out their spleens and pureeing them or whatever it is they do

Thinking about how Paul Bettany messed with everyone by saying the last episode of WandaVision had him acting opposite "an actor I've always dreamed of working with" (himself, as the other Vision)

But Tom Hardy's version of acting against himself is so much funnier
Most of Eddie and Venom's interactions just him acting against an imaginary voice in his head

Which, when he actually records it, he makes even stupider than Eddie's normal voice
I loved that tweet from the person who said they'd never seen the real movie and when they saw YouTube clips they assumed the Venom voice was something someone dubbed over to make fun of it

It seriously feels like the episode of The Office where we're just watching Michael misinterpret his GPS and take a sharp right into the lake and then just continue driving until his engine cuts out and the water begins to flood in through the vents
Seriously the thing about that scene that takes it from good to great is how he *keeps on driving until he physically can't anymore*, THEN immediately bails out of the car and starts frantically swimming to shore

It's a perfect visual metaphor for... all kinds of things
Like how in Don't Look Up, immediately after the mission to harvest the comet safely fails and they get conformation it's fully intact and still heading for Earth at its original speed, there's a beat for like two seconds and then the Elon Musk guy and the President are just gone

I just realized that Venom is essentially "an Adam Sandler movie with a gooey alien that eats people's heads" and now I hate myself
The thing is that Adam Sandler is just doing a mocking impression of a goofy weirdo with some kind of head injury in most of his old movies but Tom Hardy is actually *playing that character with full commitment*
It's so hilarious that he's the Robert Downey Jr of the Sonyverse now

(They have in fact confirmed Tom Holland will officially meet him at some point)
