@dmrider "Experiencing homelessness" ....
Do you think saying it that way makes anything any better?
What are the endearing terms for junkies? Alcoholics? Smokers? Murderers, rapists and pedophiles? Thieves? Frauds? Abusers? Poor? Broke? Perpetual shitty decision makers?
@dmrider I am not likening one to another save for the "poor decision" aspect.
That in itself doesn't make someone bad, neither does being homeless or addicted to opioids. Sugar coating it is the problem! They need reality checks or Darwin's theory! Opportunities, help, support, all there
@dmrider For everyone!
I don't experience anxiety, I have it! I don't experience entrepreneurship, I am an entrepreneur! I didn't experience abuse or poverty, I was abused and poor! All consequences of my own decisions and outcomes of what I put into it! Including how I live with anxiety!
@dmrider Our perceptions are often way twisted from reality! You're not going to be inclined to try to help yourself if every shitty thing about your situation is sugar coated! Not going to help when people say "it's not your fault". No, we can't control everything! But when you dont
@dmrider Take control over your life, your health, that of your kids, future, etc., when you sit by acting like a victim instead of your own boss, when you bitch instead of bettering, when you expect for nothing in return, yes, it's your fault that your remain in that situation!
@dmrider In North America, save for a few remote locations, everyone regardless of gender, race, beliefs, has opportunities for advancement to benefit themselves. They're different for everyone. They are NOT handed out to just anyone due to the existing abuse of these systems!
@dmrider City of Toronto could do so much more to promote self-worth and advancement. Instead, it strives to minimize independence and freedom while funding activities that create traumatized victims who also fall through the system's cracks! Creating more hardships is not addressing
@dmrider Homelessness or the root causes of Homelessness. Creating hardships creates Homelessness and hopelessness too!
I know, most of you think I'm cruel and cold in this regard!
I'm not! I have no patience or care for serial users and abusers! A lot of homeless are that way because
@dmrider They expect more from society than they are willing to put into it. The serial users. The ones that motels and halfway houses kick out!
No other homeless person needs or wants it candy coated. They're also the ones who can constantly find temporary accommodations to not freeze
@dmrider To death overnight.
Not everyone deserves a 100th chance to screw over the hand that gives.
It wasn't sugar coated when I was "homeless". It was a motivation to drop that label and do better without the abuser once I finally opened my eyes.
@dmrider Until Queens Park makes return to work mandatory (honestly, without penalizing paychecks for the first 3 months or cutting benefits for 6 months) for welfare recipients and encourages and supports ODSP recipients to be engaging members of society, things will never change!
@dmrider OW and ODSP take away any meaning to life or chance at betterment for 95% of recipients.
Humans need interactions. Being at home all day, "without a purpose" is detrimental! Even lots with kids don't see it as being a purpose. So wrong! No wonder most never want to be better!
@Roman_Baber@DUTCH_MJG@IanArthurMPP Do right by Ontarians! Uphold the Constitution and Charter of Rights and Freedoms! Speak out against the lies, the abuse of power and the corruption we have been seeing for a year now in regards to covid but decades in regards to healthcare, taxation and more.
@Roman_Baber@DUTCH_MJG@IanArthurMPP@IanArthurMPP stand up for the small businesses who have suffered, closed down and lost so much. Stand up for our children who are being abused and neglected with parents being punished and ostracized for defending them. They've had everything taken away!
@Roman_Baber@DUTCH_MJG@IanArthurMPP@IanArthurMPP stand up for all taxpayers, those funding municipal and provincial buildings, projects, events and activities for the community; people get a couple months at most then everything is canceled again. Kids haven't had camp or activities, seniors have been canceled.
Do you have your new health and safety policy ready to hit the workers hands as soon as the emergency measures lift?
I say we start submitting them to Health Canada and our M.P.s to show them that we are ready to reopen business intelligently!
To whom it may concern,
Please review this updated and amended H&S policy - it reflects necessary changes in procedures to prevent any type of mass contamination going forward. We feel that it is in Canadians best interests that the gvt start implementing similar practices
In order to be safely be able to reopen business!
We've made emergency preparedness a heightened priority and widened the scope to include pathogen/biohazard safety more than ever before and believe that this should be added as a primary focus for all companies going forward.
