This is a guide on how to buy $METIS and bridge it over to @MetisDAO Andromeda chain.

In this thread I will explain multiple ways on how you can purchase and get your funds over onto Andromeda chain.

Option 1)
Binance Smart Chain -> Andromeda Method

Option 2)
Gate.io Withdrawal to Andromeda Metis Chain

Option 3)
ETH -> Andromeda Method

Firstly,
We will add Andromeda $METIS Chain to Metamask Wallet.

1. Open your Metamask Wallet.

2. Click on the “Networks” in Settings of your Metamask Wallet.

3. Scroll down and click: "Add Network"

You'll need to enter the following information:

- Network Name: Metis Network
- New RPC URL: andromeda.metis.io/?owner=1088
- ChainID: 1088
- Symbol: Metis
- Block Explorer URL: andromeda-explorer.metis.io

When you're done, It should look like this image, click "Save".

Now that you have Andromeda Network setup for your Metamask, its time to follow one of the above options for getting $METIS on Andromeda.

Option 1 - Step 1)
In this section we will be bridging from Binance Smart Chain -> Andromeda Method

Firstly, you'll need the following;
- Metamask
- BSC Wallet
- Funds already on BSC Chain.
- Andromeda Wallet

Option 1 - Step 2)
Head over to the below link, this is a direct and safe link to purchasing $METIS on BSC chain via @PancakeSwap and connect your Metamask wallet.

🚨You may get a prompt to import this token, click "I understand" then "Accept".

0ption 1 - Step 3)
Swap the currency you wish to trade for $METIS.
In this case, I'll be using 1 $BNB to buy 1.7 $METIS.

Click "Swap" then "Confirm Swap"

🚨Remember not to use all your BNB as you'll need to use some for GAS on the bridge and this tx.

Option 1 - Step 4)
Your Metamask wallet will now popup asking you to confirm the transaction.

Click "Confirm".

If you notice that you cannot press confirm, this is probably due to you needing BNB for Gas (which enables you to perform the transaction).

Option 1 - Step 5)
You can confirm if it worked if you look at the "Activity" tab and see if the transfer is green.

Option 1 - Step 6)
Head over to the below link, this is where we are going to "Bridge" your new $METIS from BSC to Andromeda Metis Chain.

Option 1 - Step 7)
First thing we want to do is type "Metis" in the "Asset" section.

Option 1 - Step 8)
Once you have selected "Metis" under the "Asset" field click on the "From Network" box.

This will open up a side panel where you will select "BSC"

Option 1 - Step 8)
Now we want to select the "To Network" box and proceed to selecting "Metis".

Once all those steps completed, the main screen should look something like this.

Click "Connect Wallet".

Option 1 - Step 10)
You'll need to connect your Metamask wallet to both options under "BSC Network" and "Metis Network".

Option 1 - Step 11)
Now we are going to enter the amount of $METIS we would like to send from BSC Network to Metis Network.

For this example I will selecting the "MAX" option and be sending my ~1.7 $METIS that's available.

Select "Next" then "Confirm".

Option 1 - Step 12)
Metamask will open again and we hit "Confirm" to initiate the bridge.

Option 1 - Step 13)
PolyBridge will now show progress of the bridge happening with block confirmations.

Once the bridge is completed it will say "Finished" and look something like this.

Option 1 - Step 14)
Now change your network in Metamask to the "Metis Network" and you should see your $METIS successfully bridged over.

Congratulations you just bridged to $METIS via BSC.

Option 2 - Step 1)
In this section, we will be buying $METIS on @gate_io Exchange and withdrawing it to our Metamask wallet.

Firstly, you'll need the following;
- Metamask
- Gate.io account all setup.
- Andromeda Wallet
- Funds to spend on Gate Exchange

Option 2 - Step 2)
You'll need to either use Gate.io to purchase crypto with FIAT money or transfer funds from your existing exchange/metamask accounts - I will not be covering this in this guide.

This is quite easy todo and there are plenty of guides todo so.

Option 2 - Step 3)
Head over to the below link.
For this transaction I will be buying $METIS with $USDT.
If you wish to purchase $METIS with $ETH I have put the link below for that aswell - its the same process.

Option 2 - Step 4)
I will be using all of my $USDT on Gate.io to purchase $METIS, so I've selected the 100% option and will then select "Buy (USDT - METIS).

In the "Total USDT" section you can select how much you wish to purchase.

Option 2 - Step 5)
Once we have successfully bought $METIS, our order will disappear from the order book which is below.

🚨This may take a while and is not instant, it depends on trading activity. Someone needs to purchase your order - So monitor this.

Option 2 - Step 6)
In the top right hand corner of Gate.io hover over "Wallet" then select "Withdraw".

Option 2 - Step 7)
At the withdrawal screen, we will be typing in "METIS"

Option 2 - Step 8)

🚨IMPORTANT-
Select "METIS" Chain. As this is telling Gate to use the Metis Network.

Option 2 - Step 9)
Go to your Metamask and copy your Wallet ID.
This can be done by opening Metamask and clicking here (it will automatically copy info).

Option 2 - Step 10)
Head back to gate.io and paste in your wallet ID and the amount you wish to send.

Fill out the rest of the details below. And click submit request.

Option 2 - Step 11)
After submitting the request you will see below a a transaction has been created, once completed you will have your Metis in your Metamask wallet.

Congratulations you just bought $METIS of Gate.io and withdrew to your Metamask account.

Option 3 - Step 1)
In this section we will be bridging $METIS on Ethereum chain to Metis Andromeda Chain.

Firstly, you'll need the following;
- Metamask
- $METIS that's on Ethereum Chain
- Andromeda Wallet

Option 3 - Step 2)
I'm going to assume that majority of the chads who have $METIS on Ethereum chain are absolutely rich and know what they're doing, so this be brief.

The below link is the official ETH to Metis bridge created by the @MetisDAO team.

Option 3 - Step 3)
You will want to connect your metamask with the above bridge.

Select the amount of $METIS you wish to send, click "Approve".

Option 3 - Step 4)
Metamask will then prompt you to allow Confirm approval of spending $METIS.

Once this has been completed, the "approve" button will then switch to another option such as "Send, Next or Bridge".

Proceeded with the transaction and confirm Metamask.
