/2 Microsoft and Azure Certifications at least for the Software Developer Engineer (SDE) are not a factor during hiring.
Consider whether the role is working on the underlying infrastructure or building workloads ontop of Microsoft services
/3 So Certifications might be useful for roles where you are building ontop of Microsoft Services, but during the interview process, it's not going to matter.
Certs are more valuable at large consultancies eg. Deloitte, Accenture, Slalom
4/ If you're looking to use a project to land a role, it may not factor much or at all during the interview.
So if not certifications or projects then what for SDE?
