BACKMATTER: The original designs for John, Yona, and Nemoman. Originally Nemo was literally going to be Batman, but I decided that was the kind of surrealist high concept that would trample the execution.

A small thing, potentially of interest to process heads: I had a clear idea for panel 15, but my initial stab at it felt crowded and inert. I scrapped it and started again, pulling the camera back and raising the background, giving it the sense of depth it needed.
