1/6 Along with other Derbyshire MPs had a long and detailed meeting with Administrator of Derby County #dcfc We will attempt to arrange one for local MPs with the EFL shortly, am leaving it to MPs for Derby to lead and I will support them.
2/6 Andrew Hosking of Quantuma was candid that the failure of the EFL to decide whether any future legal action by Middlesbrough or Wycombe would be classified as a football debt will prevent a sale taking place. Strong legal view that the claims are baseless and would anyway
3/6 not be a 'football debt' but without that clarification the potential claims are almost as big as the entire value of the club and no creditor will take on that risk.
The administrator believe they have attracted the maximum amount that can be salvaged for creditors
4/ from current interested parties and that finding money to settle MFC and WWFC claims will make the departure from administration unachievable which would make liquidation likely.
5/ AH also discussed the deal that EFL did with MFC to prevent the EFL being sued for failing to regulate DCFC, which paved the way for MFC action against DCFC. EFL clearly have questions to answer on their handling of that and of other previous transgressions of FFP.
6/ We discussed whether there is a prospect of keeping the club going by selling players but that is not a credible option in terms of value of players and amounts required.
Urgent need for EFL to resolve outstanding situation to prevent the worst from happening.

Really great to have @Keir_Starmer in Chesterfield listening to voters of all ages.

Was so great to have so many people wanting to talk and being so positive.
Also discussed work @hardyaldhindsa and @GilbyTricia are doing at @DerbysPolice @ChesterfieldBC all helping to make Chesterfield an attractive place to visit.
Only slight disappointments were that the Football programme guy on the market didn’t have any @Arsenal programmes and he’d already ordered his sandwich before he saw the hot pork cob van, so he’ll have to have the cob on his next visit.
