Hi @Google Blogger Team, this is a sincere longshot but I really hope that someone on your side is reading this. We are an independent & totally FREE Fantasy & SF book review site that’s been operating since 2007. Over the last 15-plus years we have had 3600-plus posts that (1/n)
(2/n) have featured over 1000-plus book reviews, 170-plus author interviews, 100-plus author guest posts, and a lot more book related content. We have reviewed books from traditional publishers (from both sides of the Atlantic), independent publishing & self-published authors.
(3/n) We do this for FREE and never charge any money. We don’t even have any affiliate links on our site & do this purely based on our passions for genre books and helping authors.

I’m mentioning all of this because hopefully it will make things clear as to why we NEED your help
(4/n) On Monday (17th January 2022) we received over 51 DMCA infringement notice emails from @linkbusters concerning FBC on behalf of two publishers. (@penguinrandom & @HarperCollins). They are a new service for publishers that quarantines and/or eliminates pirated content.
(5/n) Like many service providers, they use the algorithm that identifies "dangerous" links, & then they send #DMCA infringement notices. You can check the attached pic (to see what we recieved) to see the sites that should be receiving these DMCA notices (for eg. piracy sites)
(6/n) However WE ARE JUST A BOOK REVIEW site that uses publisher supplied information such as book covers, official book blurbs and buying links (amazon, goodreads, publisher/author websites), we never get paid for this and don’t have any affiliate links on any of our pages ever!
(7/n) As a result of this massive amount of wrong #DMCA notices, @Google Blogger removed the blog for the breach of TOS (Terms of Service) immediately. We contacted the service (@linkbusters), & they acknowledged their mistake, and promised to send a retraction notice to @Google.
(8/n) For whatever reason (we still don’t know why our reviews were flagged) our review posts were listed together with torrent sites and websites offering pirated content. Unfortunately, Google has already removed the blog and WE SIMPLY DON’T KNOW if and when it'll be restored.
(9/n) We have submitted a counterclaim but if a real person doesn't look into it, it can take ages. As far as we have learned, @google can keep "deleted" content for 30/90 days (diff. sources say differently). It's confusing & we hope everything can be righted but nothing is sure
(10/n) Also @google Blogger team, we have reviewed titles by @torbooks, @orbitbooks, @AceRocBooks, @gollancz, @penguinrandom, @CrownPublishing, @UKTor, @SubPress, @JoFletcherBooks, @RebellionPub, @tordotcom, & many others. Please ASK THEM about us being a genuine book review blog
(11/n) Dear Authors, publishing folks & #BookTwitter friends, here’s how you can help us. Primarily by RT/QTing this thread & spreading the word of our horrid predicament far & wide. Secondly if you know somebody at Google, can you help us to directly get in touch with them?
(12/n) Thank you for your help and we hope that @Google blogger does the right thing & helps in restoring Fantasy Book Critic blog. We are just a bunch of book lovers who do this in our spare time & wish to keep this labour of love going for many more years to come.
