A few weeks ago, two stray dogs (probably dumped), showed under the empty house next door. Someone posted about them, and soon thereafter some volunteers from @LolasLuckyDay, showed up out of the blue to try to rescue them. 1/n
2. One dog (the smaller one, unchipped of course), they caught right away, but the second one avoided capture for over a week. The first one is a girl who was in heat, and is now being treated for heart worms…
3. The second one, a boy, is a super sweetie, but we couldn't ever get close to him. He was caught in the kennel trap once, and then scaled a five-foot wall to get out! He's amazing. The volunteer nicknamed him Jordan, after Michael, because of his mad skillz! …
4. This was going on for awhile. He’d roam around, want attention & then run off. He was so scared. Yesterday, they got him. @LolasLuckyDay rescues dogs & sends them to adoption in Wisc. Here’s Jordan, a real good boy, no longer alone, a bit scared, but with a bright future…
5. And really, those volunteers from @LolasLuckyDay were indefatigable & those dogs are now headed to a good home together. They fed Jordan cheeseburgers, steak cubes & rotisserie chicken to get him used to the kennel trap. He's going to be pretty disappointed in kibble now! …
6. We're not in a "have a dog" mode right now, but if so, these two would be here. We're so thrilled they're going to be in a good home, as well as WAY impressed with the @LolasLuckyDay volunteers.
If you want to send them a few sheckels, they’re at: lolasluckyday.com.
7. So here’s hoping this story does something positive for your mood today. Sometimes ppl suck by dumping dogs, but more often people rock by saving them!
