Now, we are not interested about protecting the public purse anymore. Our political rulership seems disinterested about disincentivizing corruption let alone going after corrupt receipts. Rather, this administration is seized with the inordinate desire to bring in more revenue
albeit through very spurious means.
Silence at this moment is inimical to the growth and development of our dear nation.
Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah once said and I quote, to sit mute and inarticulate when a situation demands articulation is sinful cowardice.
I am neither a coward, nor do I intend to sin. I speak up against the #e-levy. What about you?
The E-Levy is a scam and must be fought with righteous vehemence till it is defeated and scrapped.
A kleptocratic and spending-happy government will always seek to saddle the people
with more taxes. It is within our civil right and responsibility to the unborn generation to fight and stop them from mortgaging our future for current expediencies.
Posterity will judge you and I for our refusal, to hold accountable those who have demonstrated amply well that
partisan political convenience matters more to them than the integrity of our dear nation.
Ghana, was birthed to us out of a struggle. A struggle between the masses and the African aristocratic elite.
A struggle between self-government now and self-government in the shortest possible time. A struggle between a united strong nation and continued serfdom in federalism. Ultimately, a struggle between what was right for posterity (you and I today) and what was wrong.
We are presently relieving a similar struggle and where do you stand? I have chosen to stand for Ghana and fight for posterity. Let your voice be heard against this obnoxious nuisance tax termed E-LEVY.
LONG LIVE GHANA!
LONG LIVE FREEDOM!!
