25 lessons to help you grow your Twitter account faster.

I learned the hard way ( so you don't have to )

A thread:
I made many mistakes while building an audience of 28,000.

I tried multiple permutations and combinations to hack Twitter growth.

Here are all lessons you should consider to see results faster.
1. Pick A Niche

Figure out what kind of content you want to target.

What kind of people do you want to attract.

If you don't know the answer to this, you will never succeed.

Sit down and think, write down all the topics you want to target.
2. Consistency

Tweet and engage with other accounts every day.

You might feel to give up as you don't see results but it's worth it when you start to see the result.

People will start to see you often on their timelines if you show up every day.
3. Stay Focused

Tweet only about 2-3 topics to show your expertise.

Tweet only on topics that you have mentioned in your bio so your potential followers understand what to expect from you.

People will scroll through your tweets before they hit that follow button.
4. DMs are Gold

Connect with both followers and non-followers, build relationships every day.

It opens the door for endless possibilities in the future.

Ask a few of your new followers what made them follow you so you understand them better.
5. Don't just tweet, showcase your work

Attracting people by showing them what you built is a life hack.

It helps your audience know you are authentic.

People will start to remember you for your work.
6. Give something for free to the community

In the beginning, your goal should be just to post quality content for people to learn from.

I first saw followers' growth when I did this giveaway.

Built an info product and give it for free forever.
7. Observe and Learn

See how bigger accounts tweets, try to understand and learn from their pattern.

Follow and engage with top accounts in your space.

Learning from the fast-growing accounts is the best Hack for growth.
8. Post one thread per week

Thread helps you to convey a wider message and talk in-depth on a particular topic.

Try to post them to see if work for you.

Double down on topics that work for you.
9. Keep doing even if you don't see the results

True that there is no motivation to tweet when you don't get likes & engagement.

Everyone wants to get noticed on Twitter.

Even I use to have 0 to 1 like on my tweets and threads but it didn't stop me from tweeting.
10. Don't use the hashtag much #

I was always in the assumption that hashtags help to gain more impression, but no it never worked that way.

You can experiment with it when your account is small like 100-500 followers for some tweets, but not all tweets you post.
11. Learn from your own tweets

Use built-in Twitter analytics to see how your tweets are performing.

Identify what tweet formats gain you more engagement.

It's also a good idea to reuse the tweet content which is performing very well.
12. Quantity or Quality?

Quantity will automatically lead to good Quality.

Sometimes low-quality content becomes viral.

Quantity will push you to learn new things and generate more curiosity as you are looking for what should you tweet.
13. Don't Retweet all your Tweets

Retweet only those tweets which are performing well and has got a good impression.

Retweeting every tweet will make your audience unfollow you.
14. Retweet the tweet that is quote retweeted

To keep the ball rolling and get more impressions, you should retweet those tweets which are quote retweeted by your audience.

Quote Retweets you earn are the best.

It's more than likes, Retweets, Comments.
15. DON'T DO THIS

Don't add any links on the first tweet, you can always add them in the subthread if there are any.

Links kill your reach.

Don't add a longer sentence, as people would find it lazy to read them.
16. Take advantage of other people's tweet

Once you have posted your tweet you can always search for some tweets where you can add links to your thread in the comments.

Do this ONLY if it's relevant to tweet & is adding more value.

Adding links on random tweets will not help.
17. Reply to all comments

Engaging with your audience is one of the best things you can ever do to grow.

Reply to them, it's your golden opportunity to make new friends.
18. Cover and Profile Picture makes a difference

Make sure to have the same theme for your profile picture and cover image.

They are like landing pages for your profile.
19. Your Bio can make you or break you

A good bio helps your audience understand what you do and what they get if they follow you.

I have tried multiple permutations and combinations to see what works and what doesn't.

Even today I keep changing it.
20. Pinned Tweet

Your pinned tweet is a bonus for you to convert someone who visits your profile into a follower.

It helps you show the preview of the tweets that you post.

Knowingly/unknowingly many people visit your profile, It's your opportunity to convert them.
21. Formatting

Good formatting helps your audience to enjoy your tweet.

It's like you giving them a complimentary gift which they can't deny.

Use
1. Bullets

2. Emoji's, Symbols ( ➜ )

3. Add proper space

4. Break long sentences into multiple small sentences
22. Use Media

Having a good image, GIF on the sub-threads helps your audience to quickly visualize what your talking about.

You tend to remember and relate faster if you see than you read.

Try to add it wherever it's possible, it's fine if you don't have images.
23. Headline Matters

A good headline will help your audience to stop scrolling when they see your tweet on their timeline.

Keep the headline short and simple with stats/purpose.
24. Believe

You might have a question, will this work if I have single-digit followers?

Everyone on Twitter started with 0.

Things do take time, I hit 6K after 6 months of consistency.

If your account is small, Engage 80% with others, post tweets 20%.
25. Take breaks

Take breaks and spend limited time, There is life beyond Twitter.

Spending a whole day on Twitter will not bring you overnight success.

Compound growth happens one day or the other.
Thanks for checking this out.

Wish you all the best in your journey.

Here are the 19 most useful No-code tools that make web development a lot easier.

THREAD 🧵 ↓
Before we begin few things to consider:

1. I'm a full-stack dev who loves building products, but I still think we can avoid doing over-engineering.

2. I was part of the Beondeck No-code fellowship program where I've seen tons of Nocode projects built.
3. It's good to have coding knowledge, but it's not necessary for every use case.

4. I may have missed some of the tools, but this curation is based on my research.

5. We are building a No-code chatbot builder @wotnot_io which made me research more.

Let's get started!

I sucked at writing threads on Twitter.

But now I generate 4,000,000+ Impressions.

Here 7 lessons I learned the hard way so you don't have to.

Thread 🧵↓
1/ Headline Matters

Keep the headline short and simple with stats/purpose.

A good headline will help your audience to stop scrolling when they see your tweet on their timeline.
Why Is a Good Headline Important?

You need to give reason to your audience to invest their time in what you have written.

With a good hook, you can completely immerse your audience into your content.

People will ignore it if the first tweet doesn't make sense to them.
