The trucker and his adult adoptee part three: I told you this summer of the long interview I had with an Ohio man planning to adopt a pregnant 18 year old from Greece and how he was going to be on a tv show. I’ve driven a lot of people, and I’ve heard a lot of things, but my
conversation with this man was absolutely chilling. I wanted to call the FBI or INS(or whoever) and say do not let this girl come to America in the next two weeks. She’s in danger. I told you how his wife wasn’t on board(rightfully so) and how while on the phone with her in my
car he told her, don’t worry she’ll be locked in the basement and will have to earn her keep. His wife was worried he wanted a sexual relationship with this young woman(he did, I asked he confirmed) so she didn’t want the girl in their house. After that ride, and after my thread
on I continued to be worried about all the alarming(and illegal) intentions this trucker had with this young woman he was in the process of adopting from Greece. Over the fall I did my best to keep tabs on the situation even checking to see if the tv slow had come
out. There’s some good and some bad news. The bad is that the tv show will air soon and the adoption(or at least temp visa) went through and she same to America. The better news is than even the truckers coworker’s wives and his cousin up the road were also concerned. The trucker
wives told them to no longer associate with their coworker and they complied. From what I understand, trucker’s wife would not allow the young women and her newborn baby to live in the house. So the trucker put her in a camper on the property. And as the fall turned to winter the
girl and her baby were cold. So the concerned cousin invited the girl to come live with them. Not surprisingly, once the young lady(illeana) was no longer reliant on the trucker for food and shit shelter, she started to distance herself. The trucker(Danny) was not happy and
told her if HIS needs weren’t being met then she would need to reimburse him for all his costs. Um, you adopted her and you are responsible for HER needs. Not the other way around. It sounds like she’s out of there now which has given me a great deal of rest on the
matter. Now to the tv show.... how did it get past their legal? From watching the trailers it’s very apparent that it wasn’t just in the privacy of the BBR where he revealed his true intentions and said chilling things. I’ll link to some of the videos so you can see for yourself.
Here’s the link to my original thread. I apologize for typos in it:
The good news for my truckers is that this trucker got fired this fall after he threw a couple of new 250k semis and totaled them. And because he admitted to(fault)not checking the u bolts on the load during his pre trip the union won’t give him his job back.

Awhile back I got a DM from a political figure. Asking if we were good. They heard that I had said some unkind things, and were surprised.
I was also surprised! The night prior I had been driving a local Mayor and their spouse and this person had come up in convo.
No unkind words were said from anyone in the car. The opposite in fact. I was baffled.
Then the political figured asked if I knew a so and so. Well actually, I had just met so and so at a party the weekend before! They said oh… I bet that person is using you to get back at me.
There had been a professional falling out. I was relieved they figured things out, because I wouldn’t have had a clue.
But there’s a lesson here. We as Minnesotans might not have the balls to reach out to someone in a situation like this and a relationship might be lost over
I’ve learned some interesting things about the 35W bridge collapse through the years. 🧵
The 9/11 structural collapse event was made even worse by radio problems between first responders. In 2002 Mpls Mayor Rybak attended a FEMA course on emergency readiness.
There weaknesses were identified and when he came back he made significant investments in Mpls comms and Incident Command System training. This would aid in the response to the 2007 35W event.
On the local and state level you had agencies from all over “self deploying” to
the scene as one firefighter put it. But there wasn’t a state wide comms system in place for them to all communicate. There is now, and it’s called armor. One of my favorite small stories from that day was of a local self deploying firefighter rushing to the scene. He spotted a
Real talk for a min on Fani, cash, and paying your way.
If you know about my history this story I’m about to tell you will make sense. If you don’t, it might not.
Around 2006 or 2007 I was dating a Mexican MBA. Brilliant guy, a CFO today. Anyway at
the time I was working for a tech company in the warehouse district and as a server in Uptown at Chino Latino. A top tier earning restaurant of the 2000’s. One night in his North Loop condo he tells me he wants to PAY me to quit my job at Chino. Something about how
it reflects poorly on him that I work in a restaurant. The girl he dated before me was a society girl in Mexico…
He wants to know much I make a Chino. I refuse to tell him. I also tell him no. He pushes and pushes so finally I tell him how much I make and I can tell he’s
They aren’t. 🧵 Since title IX in the 1972 the gender gap has almost entirely flipped.
And in less privileged groups the gap is even greater. If you’re a guy under 30 you might be saying this isn’t a man’s world. Women are out earning me, getting degrees at a higher rate, ect.
I had four belligerent boomer men screaming at me in baggage claim few weeks back while I was doing a meet and greet telling me I can totally park outside baggage claim because their kids do it all the time.
Despite their 70 years on this earth it never occurred to them that
maybe there is a reason they’ve never seen a shuttle, limo, taxi, rideshare, city bus, coach bus, etc outside baggage claim.
And that somehow they would know better than me what the regulations are at the airport because they are 70. Of course on Twitter there’s a weirdo arguing
that I’m making it up and that we can roll up to the curb to baggage claim like your kids.
All our plates are registered at the airport, there are cameras everywhere, and everyone knows who my ass, yet yeah I’m making up excuses for not rolling up to baggage and leaving the rig
