It's surreal to see this @TIME cover today. @michaelmina_lab has dedicated nearly every waking moment of the past 2 years to make rapid testing a THING. And it seems like we finally did it. 🙌🙌🙌time.com/6140412/story-…
Going back to @TIME in November 2020... @michaelmina_lab wrote, "The government would ship the tests to participating households and make them available in schools or workplaces." Today, USPS says my tests will arrive! time.com/5912705/covid-…
May 2021, @TIME again: "Without testing, we can’t see where it is or where it is going...outbreaks will again occur, sparked by the unvaccinated. And most people become infectious before they know they are infected." time.com/6050846/covid-…
None of this awareness and advocacy would have been possible without the tireless champions and extensive network of the @RapidTests team! @Chris_Said@polhava@ingrid_found and so many others. It was such an honor to work with this team in our early days.
And also big thank you to @TIME@TIMEHealth@lucas_wittmann who believed in the importance of educating people about rapid testing from the very beginning. It took us awhile, but it's now in the vernacular. #RapidTests
After #RapidTests became mainstream, I joined @DetectTest@JMRothberg to educate people about a unique type of home molecular testing. No other company has developed technology that’s as accurate as PCR but as easy to scale as antigen. #futureoftesting
