Such is powerful stranglehold of Bengali Brahmin & Bengali Kayasthas in usurping space of anything "BENGALI" that West Bengal with almost 70% Dalit & Pasmanda Caste Bengali Muslims, they are totally INVISIBLE from arts, literature, poetry, sports & politics.

This is SCANDELOUS.

Much has been written why Bengal's massive DALIT population (India's 2nd largest after UP) doesn't feel like asserting itself politically,culturally & socially and remains "contended" under gigantic legacy of BENGALI UC Hindu "icons" like TAGORE, BOSE, RAY, BASU, BANERJEE etc.

Pasmanda Caste Bengali Muslims.

There are nearly 20 crore Bengali Muslims (world's 2nd largest Muslim community) out of which 17 crore are converts from Shudra, Ati Shudra & Dalit Bengali castes.

Bangladesh technically is world's only Muslim Dalit - Shudra majority nation.

Upper Caste Bengali Muslim elite is hotch potch of Upper Caste Bengali Hindu converts to Islam (many of whom retain their UC Hindu surnames) & descendants of Muslim soldiers of Mughal army & Upper/OBC Caste Bengali Hindus, who now call themselves as Sheikhs, Mughals, Pathans etc.

There is everything found among Bengali Muslims,untouchability, separate caste rows for prayer in mosques, graveyard discrimination & very strict intra-caste marriage norms.

Role of Subhash Chandra BOSE (KAYASTHA Bengali Hindu) is never scrutinized, especially his ties with Nazi & Fascist forces. Even less talked is his role in handing over 10,000 Indian soldiers of British Indian Army, who refused to join his INA to Japanese.

Subhash Chandra Bose turned blind eye to fate of 10,000 Indian soldiers of British Indian Army who refused to join his INA. JAPANESE fascist forces tortured, starved, used them alive for gun target practice & even ate them (cannibalism), till these were saved by American forces.

Indian politicians both in West Bengal (TMC) & Delhi (BJP) can't be bothered about historical scrutiny of this Kayastha rebel leader, even as they scramble to usurp his "nationalistic" brand created actually by Congress.

West Bengal has never slipped from hands of Upper Caste Bengali Hindus, whether under Congress (Sidharath Shankar Ray), Communists (Jyoti Basu) or "Khela Hobe" theatrics (Mamata Banerjee). Top echelons of BJP Bengal is also under control of UC Bengali Hindus.

Most say that "good work" (land distribution & social welfare) done by communist rule in West Bengal has made Bengali Dalits feel no need for separate Dalit political assertion. Everyone is happy with "secular" Kayastha & Brahmin raj (Congress-Communist-TMC).

Entry of BJP in West Bengal shattered this illusion of Bengali Dalits don't desire UP kind of Dalit assertion because "Brahmin & Kayastha" Bengalis are taking "good care" of them. This "Good Care" included everything except "sharing of political power" with Bengali Dalits.

It will be patronizing to say that Dalits of West Bengal don't want political, social & cultural assertion like Jatavs of UP. It's just that "Kayastha & Brahmin" progressive Bhadralok elite remained arrogantly deaf & blind.

Tragically BJP took advantage.

What has tragically happend in West Bengal is that instead of real political empowerment for Dalits & Pasmandas, Upper Caste Hindu top brass of both BJP & TMC has actually divided Hindu Bengali Dalits & Pasmanda Caste Muslim Bengalis between themselves.

Today Bengali Hindu Dalits & Bengali Pasmanda Muslims are butchering each other to facilitate continuing political dominance of Upper Caste Bengali Hindus (regardless of political party), while still entrapped in cultural influence of Bengali Upper Castes:Tagore & Bose.
