Past 7 week's performance (OpenSea only)!

- Jan'22 has already outperformed Aug'21 as the best performing month with 1 week to go

- Volume & no. of transactions declining though; possibly due to overall crypto weakness

This particular week (17 - 23/1)

- Lack of recovery in crypto market also evident in NFT market, smart buyers prolly in stables waiting for cheaper ETH to scoop cheap NFTs?

- Even if NFT holds it's ETH denomination, ETH's USD value falling still a big deterrent

Opensea vs LooksRare

- LooksRare leads this battle by a huge margin in Daily Volume (USD)

- However, it =! adoption! Most of LooksRare volume is still due to wash-trading to earn trading rewards (cont in 2d)

- Evident in the extremely low user and transaction count

- Most of the users and trading are still on OpenSea despite complaints lol

- Super impressive to have organised such a huge event w/ multiple languages, exhibition in @cryptovoxels + guest appearances!

- Similar moves from @Meta as they are reportedly experimenting NFT features on @instagram

@coinbase & @Mastercard works together on purchase of NFTs

- Reduced barrier of entry w/ easier fiat onramps and value denomination in fiat -> bullish for NFTs

@BrooklynNets launches Netaverse!

- 100s of cameras capture and render match to provide fans with a 360-degree VR experience

- Excited to see how the future of sports & entertainment evolves, especially after an impressive event done by @AOmetaverse

@TomBrady's sports and entertainment platform @Autograph raised $170M

- Seems like centralised platforms are likely to win the battle for marketshare in this niche of NFT vertical

- Nonetheless, fans stand to benefit from it!
