BREAKING NEWS THREAD: PM Mia Mottley - Government of Barbados' arrears are in the vicinity of over BB$1.35 billion as of September 30th 2017 - Outstanding wire transfers: $621.4 million, UWI - $229.7 million, SOEs - $467.7 million
PM Mottley: "It is a woeful state of affairs, anybody who presided over this really needs to answer to the country - for what is in my view is a dereliction of duty that is unparalleled since Independence"
JUST IN - NIS is owed an additional BB$459.1 million - represents absence of contribution from Government, failure to pay rent since 2016 for all buildings occupied by Government & failure to account for non-contributory pensions
