It’s weird how I *believe* these things to be true and yet just carry on with day to day stuff like they do not represent historically-significant crimes requiring justice:

1. The pandemic that has killed millions was caused by research supported & funded by Anthony Fauci

2. The lockdown-based response of Western governments to the pandemic was deliberately planted and promoted by Chinese propaganda and embraced by our selfish/gullible elites either for personal motives or pure mindless elite-copycat behavior

3. Prominent among the motives for embracing and promoting the hysteria response that they did, including things like continually mandating masks, was the temporal proximity of the US election and desire to defeat Donald Trump

4. Each and every reversal or rollback of any of these policies is feverishly resisted by a faction not out of sincere belief in any scientific or epidemiological necessity, but for face-saving political posturing.

5. The fact that all of the above has damaged a generation of children, stealing years of their childhoods, and sets up the prospect for at least half of them a childhood of perpetual dystopia, does not figure at all into the calculations of the people described in 3-4.

That’s just weird.

Again, to be clear: the preceding are merely my *beliefs*. (You know: ‘allegedly’.) I am not making an actual accusation here. Just stating an opinion.

Just a side note 4a:

I don’t believe anyone in position of responsible decisionmaking sincerely believes school/childcare kid-masking rules are of any importance epidemiologically. (I’m excluding morons like Randi Weingarten)

It is all optics.

These people don’t treat these rules/mandates as if they genuinely believe they will affect actual epidemic results. They treat them as if their primary concern is to manage public relations, and to engineer bureaucratic rule-sets about things like staffing.

All talk of climbdown/off-ramps from kid-mask rules proceeds in this dry, technocratic voice, exactly analogous to Federal Reserve Board members discussing how best to roll off the SOMA balance sheet so as not to spook markets. No rush! Gotta be careful, savvy. Make powerpoints.

Meanwhile, millions of kids are spending their formative years, building all their schoolage memories, practicing their social interactions (or not), pointlessly wearing ‘masks’ all day whenever around peers.

And these asshole mask technocrats with their ‘guidances’ DGAF
