As promised in my response to @s_webber last night, here is a thread on fresh poll numbers from Missouri on @HawleyMO’s strength among primary voters and the general electorate.
And For dessert: Missouri U.S. Senate race watchers will want to stay until the end.
.@OnMessageInc conducted a poll from January 9-12, 2022 for the Hawley campaign. It consists of 800 likely general election voters with an oversample of GOP primary voters.
Among MO GOP Primary Voters, @HawleyMO is very popular. Yes, most elected officials are liked by their own party, but this level of support is rare. He’s the most popular MO elected official among GOPers
And not surprisingly, MO GOPers also give @HawleyMO high marks on job approval
.@HawleyMO also has a favorable image among general election voters. I suspect this comes in conflict with some of the conventional wisdom among the DC crowd. It’s not just Republicans that view him favorably.
And the dessert for the Missouri Senate primary race watchers.
If @HawleyMO were to endorse in the primary, it would have a significant impact for the chosen candidate. This endorsement effect by an elected official is also rare
