Are these people angry that....*other* people aren't dining out? Like they go out to a restaurant and get mad that it's not crowded? 
So basically this whole debate has boiled down to "we need to get back to normal" followed by people pointing out that things are basically normal, to which the original folks say "yeah but not enough people in blue cities are doing what I want them to, it feels weirrrrd."

Newsflash: a lot of these reservations are getting cancelled not because people are scared but because people are actually sick. Basically every 10 top+ for the last month has cancelled on us because e.g. "we can't come, the birthday girl got covid"

We lost two rehearsal dinners in the last two weeks because people just....got sick. I'm not complaining about it. So sorry that the "overrrr it" set can't will a different reality into being!
