#luckae donor daddy Diluc:
It was always Kaeyas dearest wish to have a family. One he could call his own without a shadow of a doubt. It was that wish, and a particularly idyllic day in mondstat with Klee, Bennet and Razor that lead to his decision.
He was going to have a baby.
There was more to the decision then that, of course. Months, years, of wondering if this was something he could have. If it was something he should have. After all, who was he to have a family? Did he even deserve one?
He'd had one before... with Diluc and Crepus. He'd had almost everything he wanted, and he'd destroyed it. What if he did the same with a new family?
But things were different now. He was in a better place. He knew his loyalties. Knew where his heart lie. He was steady, safe, and had friends and a community to support him. This was the best time. Could be the only time.
So he made plans. He told Jean what he wanted, preparing her for the likelihood that he would be taking a lot of leave in the future, and she was ecstatic for him.
She immediately got Barbra involved, and sooner than he thought, he had a health plan, a new diet, a list of bigger apartments and houses he could buy, and a steady desk job in place for when he needed it.

All he needed was a father for the baby.
Tbc- it's late but this idea just popped into my head and I had to write at least the start tonight!
He wasn't lacking in choice for sexual partners, but he wanted more than that for his baby's father. So he began his research.
He wasn't looking for someone to share parenthood with, but he did have some preferences for the qualities he hoped to pass down to his baby. The father had to be strong and healthy, at least a little handsome, with a good reputation and moral standing.
At least half of the baby's genes had to have a decent sense of morality after all.

He spent a while profiling the men of Mondstat, watching them work and socialise from a distance, then striking conversation with the ones he thought had potential, really getting to know them.
There was a distinct air of disappointment and bitterness in the tavern after a few weeks of this. Men he wouldn't normally turn away for a night of fun came whining about the lack of attention he gave them, and Kaeya had to laugh it off and make excuses.
He couldn't very well tell them he'd stopped taking his birth control and didn't deem any of them worthy of fathering his children.
On the bright side though, Diluc had stopped glaring at him for picking up men in his bar. But that change didn't last very long.
"I heard you're looking for a beu Sir Kaeya~" Venti teased, draping himself over Kaeyas shoulder with a wicked smirk and waggling eyebrows. "And not just any beu. It has to be something serious if you're spending so much time assessing every man in Mondstat~"
Kaeya rolled his eye at the bards antics, about to, politely, tell him where his singing would be appreciated, but a sharp clink of glass drew his attention to Diluc.
The glass Diluc had been drying lay cracked in his hands, and a glare, so fierce Kaeya swore he felt actual heat, was aimed at the bard still clinging to his arm.
Oblivious, or simply ignoring Diluc, Venti continued to tease, exposing Kaeyas activities for the whole bar to hear, and Kaeya had been so taken aback by Dilucs anger that he didn't have time to stop Ventis blabbering mouth.
"I never thought you'd be a one man guy Sir Kaeya! Not since your heart was broken that one time." Venti wiggles his eyebrow at Diluc and panic rose in Kaeyas chest. Before he could stop him, Venti opened his mouth again.
"But here you are! Searching desperately for a man to court you!" Kaeya slapped a hand over Ventis mouth. At least it wasn't exposing more about his heartbreak, but it was too late to stop his research being outted.
Patrons perked up, eyes sliding over to Kaeya with curiosity, and no small amount of consideration. Kaeya wasn't getting any peace in the coming days, he just knew it.
He sighed and threw an apologetic look at Diluc for the commotion. The glass that had cracked in Dilucs hands was now shattered completely, and the man was looking at Kaeya with a pinched frown on his face, but figuring out Dilucs expression wasn't Kaeyas priority right now.
He stood and grabbed the bard by the scruff. Venti whined at the manhandling, but Kaeya dragged him out of the bar and only released him when they were in a quiet alley.
"Look." He stared the bard down with his hands on his hips and a brow raised. "I don't know what your play is, I know you always have a motive behind everything, but this is too important to be a part of whatever game you're playing."
"Oh?" Venti tilted his head and grinned up at Kaeya smugly "Don't worry, my game will be beneficial to you eventually. And it won't negatively impact your search for a suitable baby maker."
Kaeya spluttered, staring down at the smirking bard with a wide eye. But venti just winked and took his hand, leading them back towards the bar. "I'm a little offended I wasn't on your list. Don't you think we would make a pretty baby?"
Kaeya snorted "Pretty or not, I don't even want to think about what a combination of us would result in. A khaenri'ahn and an Archon."
Venti hummed, eyes twinkling with mischief. "I suppose you're right. But still, it would be an adorable baby."
Kaeya huffed out a small laugh as they neared the bar door. Venti threw it open and aimed a wink at Kaeya before opening his mouth to loudly ask "Have you considered Wagner?"
Another glass shattered somewhere near the bar, and Kaeya sighed, throwing a glare at Venti who just giggled and pulled out his lute to play obnoxious love songs for the patrons. But the loud suggestion lingered in Kaeyas mind, and he sat back at the bar with a thoughtful hum.
"Kaeya." He blinked out of his thoughts and looked up at Diluc, who was still frowning with a strange look in his eyes "I've been calling your name. Are you drunk already?"
Kaeya shook his head and grinned "Not nearly enough! Just thinking about what Venti said." Dilucs frown deepened, but Kaeya continued "Wagner huh? He's strong and healthy. And definitely handsome. Hmm." He tapped his chin in thought "What do you think of Wagner, Master Diluc?"
Diluc was going to need to buy new glasses, as another shattered in his grip and his glare turned deadly. "Ah, I suppose you dont want to talk about my relationships, huh?" He chuckled past a wince and resolutely ignored the pain in his heart.
"I'll just go talk to Wagner myself, see if I like him enough."

He excused himself and left the bar, not seeing the shattered expression on Dilucs face, and the knowing look Venti was giving the pyro user.

He had a potential father to talk to.
Tbc!!! Many glasses were sacrificed for this story.
The talk with Wagner went far better than Kaeya had dared hope. The blacksmith was gruff, but he had good standing, was loyal to those he loved, was kind when it mattered, and was definitely pleasing on the eye.
Kaeya had to admit that the thought of a night together with Wagner excited him. Perhaps even a few nights. Just to make sure it took. It was a pleasant thought.
But something nagged at him. A small snag at the edge of his concious that he couldn't name.
He spent the next few days hovering around the blacksmith, trying to suss out what was wrong, and came up blank. He was drawn to the man, physically attracted and strangely endeared by his gruffness. It warmed his heart in a familiar way he didn't recognise.
But there were moments when he turned to look at Wagner, and he felt a jolt of disappointment.

He had mulled over the issue for days, and he was getting nowhere.
He sighed into his half finished glass of wine, his first for the evening, and likely his last. He gulped down the rest and stood from the bar, leaving his Mora and sending an absent wave towards Rosaria as he headed for the exit.
"Off to woo that giant again?" She mused, and he chuckled.
Truth was, he wasn't sure any more. Wagner was perfect for what he wanted. He should have gotten it over with by now, he'd probably be pregnant and excited about having a child already. But that damn nagging sensation.
He made the short trip towards the man's forge, determined this time to shove his stupid conscience down this time and finally ask the damn question. He wasn't nervous. It was just sex. A deal. An exchange. He just hoped his mental cock block wouldn't get in the way.
He rounded the corner towards the gates and raised a hand in a wave, opening his mouth to call out to the blacksmith. But a hand slapped itself over his mouth. Another seized his wrist. And he was dragged into a quiet alley so quickly he barely had the chance to struggle.
Shoved against a wall with a grunt, he snarled at his attacker, readying for an attack, only to stop at the sight of red hair and a grimace he would know anywhere.
With a sigh, he slumped back against the wall and gave a cordial smile.
"What can I do for you Master Diluc?" He drawled, folding his arms across his chest. "I could have sworn I paid for my wine on the way out."
Diluc glared, then, in a manner Kaeya hadn't witnessed since childhood, he huffed, cheeks puffing out and expression pinched.
"Why him?" He asked, more a grunt than anything, and Kaeya was left blinking stupidly at him.
"Pardon?"
"Why Wagner?" He said the name with a sneer, and a hearty pink rose high in his cheeks "You haven't even considered everyone yet."
Kaeya gaped, then, with a snort, he burst out in giggles. Diluc scowled at him, arms crossing and chest puffing out in offence.
"Why, Master Diluc~" Kaeya teased, smirking widely "You'd best be more careful with your words. One might think you cared."
Diluc glowered, puffing up even more "I do care." He snarled, and Kaeya blinked, stupefied once more. Diluc took his silence for the chance it was and pushed forward, crowding Kaeya against the wall. "Choose someone else. Someone who fits you better."
Kaeya huffed and shook his head, leaning as far away from Diluc as he could. Diluc didn't even know what this was really about, all he knew were the rumours Venti started. But, peeking at Dilucs serious expression, he saw an opportunity he had been too scared to take for years.
"There is no one that 'fits' me, Master Diluc." He said, keeping his voice smooth and emotionless as he released the hurt that had festered in his heart for so long. "You should know that better than anyone. After all, I don't belong here. Do I?"
"Thats not-" Diluc hissed, but Kaeya pressed on.

"I'm finally content where I am. I finally know my place. You should be relieved! All I want to do now is make something for myself. No one may fit me. But I'll damn well take what I can get."
Diluc slammed a hand against the wall beside kaeyas face, and Kaeya resolutely did not flinch. "Then get something better." He growled, leaning closer.
Kaeya tutted "What am I supposed to do, Diluc!?" Frustration spilled out of him as he sneered at the man. "I've looked everywhere else. I've tried everyone else. Without ruining someones marriage or fucking that damn bard, I'm out of options!"

"IM ASKING YOU TO CHOOSE ME!"
Kaeyas mouth snapped shut and he stared, wide eyes at Diluc, who was panting from the force he had put behind his words.
Kaeyas heart fluttered, seeming to stop completely, and then a hand, gentle and warm, was caressing his cheek.

"Please... choose me."
Tbc!!! We have the beginnings of proper, non glass shattering, communication! This is not a drill! Charles can rest easy now the glasses will be safe.
Kaeya slumped against the cold wall, mouth slack and eye wide as he stared at Diluc. Then, slowly, his expression crumpled. He quickly raised his arm to block his face, and let out a loud, broken laugh.
"Choose you?" He gasped, laughter shaking his sides. Diluc drew back, confused, an expression of hurt, tinted with a sad understanding on his face. But Kaeya continued to laugh and cover his face as he shook.
Then, drawing a strangled gasp from Diluc, Kaeya withdrew his hand and uncovered the fat tears that fell thickly down his cheek. "Oh this is rich." He laughed, hitched with a sob. "I never expected this from You."
Kaeya stood straight and composed himself, expression smoothing to a careful blankness that had Diluc wincing and stepping back.
"I chose you a long time ago, Diluc." Kaeya said coldly. "It was You that chose to leave Me, remember?"
Diluc closed his eyes, and Kaeya watched as the man took a deep breath, then opened his eyes and set them on Kaeya, blazing and fierce with intent. He stepped forward, once more in Kaeyas space, and lifted a hand.
Kaeya barely contained a flinch, and Dilucs expression shuttered, but he continued. The hand rested gently on Kaeyas cheek, and wiped the tears from his face with a touch so gentle Kaeya longed to lean into it.
"I know... I know what I did." Diluc huffed, looking away as if unable to face Kaeya. "But I'm here now... and I thought... I hoped that we could..." he looked back, meeting Kaeyas eye with a determination that blazed so brightly Kaeya thought it would light up the whole alley.
"I hoped that we could try again. That we could... choose each other this time."

Kaeya sucked in a hitched gasp. "You... you would choose me?"
Diluc sighed and leaned in, resting his forehead against Kaeyas "I know I haven't been... kind. I should have made my intentions clear when I came back. I should have told you the reason I came back at all."
Kaeya shuddered, heart racing as a tentative hope rose in him. "Tell me now. Why did you come back to Mondstat?"
Diluc cupped his cheek and moved to place a kiss on Kaeyas forehead.
"I came back for you, Kaeya Alberich. I came back because my world was dark and cold without you, and I couldn't go another day without having you in it."
Kaeya felt a weight, a darkness so heavy inside him, lift as the words washed over him. Tears slipped from his eye, but they came with a rush of relief and happiness so strong it threatened to take his legs out from under him.
Diluc wrapped an arm around his waist when he swayed, worried eyes searching his expression, but Kaeya was so dazed all he could do was let himself fall against Dilucs chest. Warm, strong, and something he'd missed so much.
Diluc was quick to sweep him up, wrapping his arms securely around him, and Kaeya shuddered at the familiar, dearly missed feeling. Diluc murmured something about going somewhere quiet, and Kaeya managed, through the shock, to guide them to his apartment.
Diluc sat them on a small couch, eyes intent on Kaeya, and he took Kaeyas hands in his own. "Say something?"
Kaeya blinked a few times and swallowed thickly. "Apologies... it's just... so much."
Diluc nodded and squeezed Kaeyas hands gently, and Kaeya took a breath. "When I heard you came back I was happy. I thought I would finally have a chance to make up for my mistakes... to rebuild our relationship.
But you were so indifferent towards me. I thought you wanted nothing to do with me."

Diluc sighed and nodded his head "I wasn't sure how to approach you... so much had happened and I didn't know how to even begin. But that's no excuse for how I've treated you."
Diluc straightened, an excited and determined glint in his eyes "But we can do what you said. We can rebuild what we had. We can even build something better. So please... dont choose someone else. Choose me."
Kaeya let out a wet laugh, then launched himself at Diluc, wrapping his arms around him and hiding his face in the crook of Dilucs neck. "Of course I choose you. I'll always choose you. I just... never thought you'd choose me too."
Diluc held Kaeya close, squeezing his eyes shut and revelling in being able go hold Kaeya like this again. "It'll always be you I choose, Kaeya."
They drew back together, staring into each other's eyes, and slowly, reverently, they leaned in and fell into a kiss.
It was warm and perfect. Fire and ice coming together with a spark of passion and familiarity they'd both thought long lost. It wasn't long until hands wandered, exploring new and old plains. Diluc had filled out deliciously.
Kaeyas hands smoothed over muscle and broad shoulders, mapping everything and committing it to memory.

Diluc did the same, hot hands sliding down Kaeyas supple chest and around his waist, moving down to settle on his ass with a squeeze.
Kaeya moaned, warming with arousal, and he pressed himself against Diluc needily.

The kiss turned hot, tongues coming together and teeth nipping at lips.
Kaeya didn't notice Diluc loosening his belt, but he felt the hands slip into his pants, gloves sliding along his skin and making him shudder.
He pressed closer to Diluc, and gasped as he felt the hot bulge of Dilucs clothed cock against his.
He rocked his hips, rubbing them together, and Diluc squeezed his ass harder with a deep, growling groan. Suddenly, Diluc surged up, and Kaeya found himself pressed under him on the couch, with Diluc looming over him.
"Perfect." Diluc growled, then pressed down, rocking their hips together and drawing a gasp from Kaeya. "You have no idea how long I've waited for this, Kaeya. The time I spent dreaming of having you like this, wanting me. Needing me."
Kaeya whined and arched his back. "Oh, I think I have an idea." He purred, then wrapped his legs over Dilucs hips, squeezing to draw him closer and press their arousals together "I've waited just as long, Master Diluc~"
With a deep groan, Diluc swept in to bite and lick down Kaeyas neck, tearing his shirt open to get access to more skin. Kaeya giggled and tangled his hands in Dilucs hair, thoroughly enjoying the sensation of Diluc savaging his chest.
He moaned deeply when Diluc started to rut against him, hand sliding down his stomach and dipping into his pants. Kaeya let out a satisfied sigh. Finally. He could have this. Have Diluc. In all the ways he'd wanted.
The hot, hard press of Dilucs cock against him promised pleasure Kaeya was sorely in need of. He couldn't wait to feel it inside him, fucking and filling him completely.
Oh how he longed to take everything Diluc could give him. His passion, his heat, his cock, his cum. Everything Diluc had, he would take with pleasure.

But then he remembered just what Diluc had interrupted with Wagner.
He shot up with a gasp, throwing Diluc off him in the process. Diluc yelped, then, from where he was sprawled on the floor, he stared up at Kaeya with wide, shocked eyes.
"Did... I do something wrong?"
"No! I mean yes! I mean... i can't do this!" Diluc grew increasingly distressed looking, and Kaeya floundered. He dragged a hand down his face with a groan and faced Diluc with a regretful sigh. "You have no idea how much I want this. Want you. But you don't know all the facts."
Diluc frowned, but nodded, gathering himself off the floor to hesitantly sit beside Kaeya again. Kaeya tried a reassuring smile, and took Dilucs hand, trying to ensure Diluc knew it wasn't him in the wrong.
"These past few weeks I've been looking for something specific..."
Diluc glowered, a cute pout forming, and Kaeya stiffled a giggle at the expression. "It's not what you think...actually it partially is. But not wholy! I was going to... with Wagner that is... well..." he took a large breath. "I wanted him to get me pregnant."
Tbc!!! Featuring the rare phenomenon: communication!!!
Pretty busy with university so I might be slow but I'm getting there!!!
Diluc seemed to freeze, expression going blank, eyes staring, unblinking and distant. Then, in an furious flurry of motion, he shot to his feet and his claymore was summoned to his shaking, clenched fist.
His expression was dark, and his vision sparked with embers at his hip as his eyes snapped to the window.
"D-Diluc?" Kaeya hesitantly reached out, but he dare not touch Diluc, mind flashing back to that night, to Dilucs anger.
"How dare he." Diluc snarled, voice a gravelly growl that, for reasons completely unrelated to fear, made Kaeya shudder. "How dare he think he is worthy of being a father to my Kaeyas child."
Clarity was a suckerpunch to the gut, and with it came a startled laugh. Diluc, in his own world of anger, stalked towards the window, like some avenging angel going to war, and Kaeya hurried to block his path, putting his hands firmly against Dilucs chest.
"Now now, Master Diluc. Nothing happened. I hadn't even asked him yet, and I've just realised why I was so hesitant."
Dilucs eyes snap to Kaeyas and his grip on the claymore loosened a little.
"He didn't touch you?"
"No."
"And you're not..." his eyes flicked down to Kaeyas stomach, and Kaeya rolled his eyes.
"No, I'm not pregnant... not yet."
"I can-" Kaeya shook his head and cut Diluc off, knowing where this was going.
"I can't ask that of you Diluc. I can't put this on you when we've only just restarted... it's too big."
Diluc stepped forward, crowding Kaeya and letting the Claymore flicker out of existence. He raised a hand to caress Kaeyas cheek and looked at him with such fierce intensity.
"I'm sure about this. I'm sure about you. And I'm sure about my heart. And my love."
Kaeyas breath hitched, and his eye went wide. "You... love me? Even after everything?"
"I always have."
Kaeya shuddered and smiled shakily "You know I've loved you for so long Diluc."
"Then ask me, Kaeya."
Kaeya searched his eyes, and the moment of clarity came back to him. "I was hesitating to ask Wagner... despite wanting this so much. He was the perfect choice." Diluc glowered, but Kaeya held up a hand to calm him.
"Something was holding me back. And I know now. He wasn't you." Diluc sucked in a breath, and Kaeya took a step, taking advantage of Dilucs shock to back them towards the bed. His hand rested on Dilucs chest, just over his heart.
"I was drawn to Wagner because he is stern, grumpy, but kind." The back of Dilucs knees hit the mattress, and Kaeya pushed until Diluc was forced to sit. "He is strong, capable, and of good moral character."
He crawled onto Dilucs lap and kept going until Diluc was on his back and Kaeya was straddling his hips, looking down at him with a want filled eye. "He's everything you are. But he's not you."
Diluc stared up at Kaeya with awe filled wide eyes, and his arms wrapped around Kaeyas thin waist, keeping him in place. "You mean it?" He breathed, and Kaeya hummed.
"I've been searching all of Mondstat for a father for my baby. I assessed so many men. Most of them would have been perfect. I didn't realise it before. But I wasn't just looking for a donor. I was looking for you."
Diluc sighed, as if the words were a cooling balm on a burn wound. "You have me now. You don't need to look any further." His hands squeezed where they held Kaeya, holding him securely and determinedly. "So ask me."
Kaeya bit his lip, then, taking a deep breath, he leaned down, hovering just over Dilucs lips. "Diluc Ragnvindr... Would you be the father to my child? More than that, Would you be a parent with me? A partner? A lover?"
Diluc barely let him finish asking before he surged up and captured Kaeyas lips in a heated kiss. He swept Kaeya up in his arms and flipped them so Kaeya was below him, back hitting the mattress with a gasp.
"I will be all of that and more. Kaeya. My Kaeya." He kissed down Kaeyas neck. "I will be anything and everything you want and need. I will be a father. A partner. A lover. And when I can convince you, I will be a husband. A family."
Kaeya gasped, eye welling with tears, and Diluc raised up on his elbows to look down at him with such earnestness it made Kaeya sob. Diluc just smiled and wiped a tear from Kaeyas cheek with his thumb. "I will be yours. And I will give you everything you want."
With an appreciative growl, and a thrust of his hips that sparked a flare of pleasure through Kaeya, Diluc ran a hand down to Kaeyas stomach. "I will start by giving you a child. My child. Our child."
TBC- my presentations went well. Thank you everyone who encouraged me!

Crepus didn’t die on that stormy treacherous night. He was badly injured though, enough to permanently disable him. Diluc was distraught, and Kaeya broke down and admitted everything about his past and identity. Begging for forgiveness.
But Crepus had already known. He’d known since he found Kaeya, had seen the star in his eye and intricate black markings over his other. But he’d wanted to give Kaeya a good life regardless. He was just a child and children should not have to carry the sins of their parents.
Diluc was furious, thinking their time together, their friendship, had been nothing but lies. But listening to his father, and seeing how desperately Kaeya clung to Crepus, tears staining his cheeks. Diluc found he couldn’t blame him.

Another day. Another endless shift of Diluc having to witness Kaeya’s seemingly bottomless well of suitors clawing at him.
Their hands would run down his arms. Their eyes would linger on exposed skin. And they would lick their lips like ravenous, slovenly wolves looking at a meal.
Angels share was never lacking in rowdy, at times infuriating patrons. But nothing made Diluc’s blood boil like the sight of those men drooling over Kaeya. The sound of them laughing and flirting lowly into his ear.
