Why is Russia so dangerous? According to the NYT, because it bans from TV those who don’t show the “image of a man of a traditional sexual orientation.” Why does this have to do with a potential invasion? Nothing, but it’s the first thing they think about. nytimes.com/2022/01/30/wor…
Lol
Interesting that this one they didn’t fact check as wrong.
*yes I know it’s probably not recognized by the state. But nobody will stop you it seems from living in holy matrimony with your dog

Congrats to this guy for dying just in time.
Lol, story says a "former Sunday school teacher" was "underage" but what they mean was she was 19, so an adult but not old enough to drink and she was given champagne. Amazing the deference we give to women's narratives of victimhood. Image

NYT: Eastern Europe is engaging in “censorship,” which apparently is defined by having a media biased in the wrong direction that is too sympathetic to Djokovic. There’s no common language with which to speak to these people about “democracy” nytimes.com/2022/01/17/wor…
“Serbia and Hungary — countries in the vanguard of what V-Dem Institute, a Swedish research group, described last year as a ‘ global wave of autocratization’ — both hold general elections in April, votes that will test whether media control works.” Democracy hangs in the balance!
Here’s another sign of no democracy: media companies that pay too much for the rights to broadcast soccer.

I hate soccer, my measure of democracy is how much a country rejects it.

For the love of God make the stupid stop. School kids walking out to demand remote learning and N95 masks. Looking more and more like the war on bullying is where everything went off the rails. vice.com/en/article/xgd…
"They demanded the centering of marginalized student voices in all discussions related to COVID-19 safety plans and for officials to publicly apologize for negative statements it made about members of the Chicago Teachers Union." ha ha ha ha
They demand one therapist for every thirty student! Imagine Stalin or Mao or Jimmy Hoffa or John Stuart Mill demanding therapists. This is the most repulsive liberalism in the history of liberalism.

Wait, so they both make the playoffs if they tie, but if one of them wins the other is eliminated? They should agree to play to a tie. ImageImage
What the hell was that?!?
They literally sent a sign to the other team that they needed to try to beat them, when they were trying to get them both into the playoffs. I wish I was still teaching Game Theory so I could use Brandon Stanley as an example of what not to do. Not a good year for Brandons.

NYC high schooler: "One student tested positive IN THE AUDITORIUM, and a few students started screaming and ran away ...90% of the conversations..concern COVID." You know the risks to kids are minimal, do they know? All indications are they don't. reddit.com/r/nyc/comments…
Teachers: hysteria is so great that impact of school is negative. There aren't enough teachers.

Demonstrates why it's not enough to be against school closures, you need to be against testing and quarantining too. The hysteria is the problem, not COVID.
"In our school of ~250 students, 47 are out today having tested positive for covid, along with 4 out of 19 teachers. Attendance as a whole today is 30%. I had literally 0 students in my first period class and spent the period sweeping the room and scrubbing desks."
