I know this has been a very disappointing month in this fight.
One of the lessons of this book though is that we only became a democracy in the first place because, at moments exactly like this one, committed people refused to give up.

This book has three parts: The first is full of eye-opening scenes about how the vote was won in the past; the second candidly outlines the crisis we face today; and the third details the bold, transformational policies we need to finally make America a real democracy.
In many ways, this book is a continuation of the work I’ve done on voting rights for three decades - and as Attorney General under @BarackObama and at the NDRC @DemRedistrict
