Today’s #AatmanirbharBharatKaBudget brings with it new energy and strength to our development trajectory, especially at a time when we are courageously fighting a once-in-a-lifetime global pandemic. This Budget brings more infra, more investment, more growth and more jobs.
People from all walks of life have welcomed the #AatmanirbharBharatKaBudget. The youth of India see this Budget as one that will give wings to their ambitions. The emphasis on futuristic technologies in all spheres is noteworthy and will benefit a cross section of our citizens.
This year’s Budget caters to the development needs of people in remote areas, hill states and those states on the banks of the Ganga. This is in line with our focus on all-round and inclusive development.
There are many provisions in this Budget aimed at transforming the agriculture sector including ensuring credit, record MSP, boosting food processing and encouraging start-ups in the sector. I am confident that the hardworking small farmers will prosper thanks to these steps.

When the COVID-19 pandemic first struck, we did not know much about the virus. However, our scientists and innovators immersed themselves in developing vaccines.
India feels proud that our nation has been able to contribute to fighting the pandemic through vaccines.
At the same time, the role of our doctors, nurses and healthcare workers is exceptional. When we see glimpses of people being vaccinated in remote areas, or our healthcare workers taking the vaccines there, our hearts and minds are filled with pride.
In a meeting with Chief Ministers, reviewed aspects relating to COVID-19 and vaccination.
Chief Ministers spoke about the situation in their respective states with regard to the pandemic, especially the Omicron variant that is spreading rapidly.
The Central Government is continuously keeping a track of the situation. We are also working with the states with a pre-emptive, pro-active and
collective approach.
All of us have to continue taking all possible precautions and remain as alert.
At the same time, the nation’s health infrastructure is being continuously augmented. The progress being made by our nation on the vaccination front can be seen.
Vaccines and masks remain among the strongest weapons against the pandemic.
I have been privileged to receive the utmost love and affection from our Bhutanese brother and sisters, and take this occasion to convey my greetings to all of them on the auspicious occasion of the National Day of Bhutan.

I will be in Mahoba and Jhansi tomorrow, 19th November to inaugurate various development projects which will benefit the Bundelkhand region. This includes key projects relating to overcoming the problems of water shortage.
Tomorrow, 19th November is the Jayanti of the brave Rani Lakshmibai. On this special day, I am honoured to be in Jhansi. There, the foundation stone for a 600 MW Ultramega Solar Power Park will be laid. The Atal Ekta Park will also be inaugurated.
The programme in Jhansi will be very special for our defence sector. Numerous projects will be launched during the ‘Rashtra Raksha Samparpan Parv.’ These projects are aimed at boosting our security apparatus and making India Aatmanirbhar in the defence sector.
Measures announced by FM @nsitharaman today will enhance public health facilities, especially in under-served areas, boost private investment in medical infrastructure and augment critical human resources. Special focus is on strengthening healthcare facilities for our children.
Importance has been given to helping our farmers. Multiple initiatives have been announced which reduce their costs, increase their incomes & support greater resilience and sustainability of agricultural activities.
Further support has been announced for our small entrepreneurs & self-employed persons,to enable them to sustain their business activities but & expand them further.
Several initiatives, including financial assistance are being taken to help those linked with tourism.
Taking forward the commitment to transform India-EU relationship for global good, I had a virtual interaction with all leaders of EU Member States and Presidents @CharlesMichel@eucopresident and @vonderleyen for India-EU Leaders' Meeting.
Our stronger partnership is essential for achieving peace and prosperity for our peoples. We welcomed the resumption of negotiations for Trade and Investment Agreements, as well as our new Connectivity Partnership.
