The state auditor & inspector told lawmakers at the Capitol Tuesday that mismanagement by co-founders of Epic is “the largest amount of reported abuse of taxpayer funds in the history of this state” — and she has no idea why the attorney general has not brought criminal charges.
On Jan. 20, @Okla_OAG went on Tulsa radio station KRMG and said he was still waiting for OSBI’s report on Epic. Asked Tuesday afternoon for a comment or status update, O’Connor’s press secretary told @tulsaworld: “We cannot comment on open investigations.”
Amid these new Qs about inaction by state law enforcement, federal authorities including Internal Revenue Service are reportedly now zeroing in on financial irregularities alleged at Epic during decade school system was managed by co-founders Ben Harris & David Chaney. END THREAD
