I fought back against my son's school yesterday over being informed he would be forced to quarantine based on a "close contact" exposure. I presented the principal with a list of questions regarding the legality of her various policies. Where is the law I asked?
I asked her to explain contact tracing. I told her I wanted the phone number of the department that sends out the very serious Omicron detectives to conduct this "investigation". I told her - I demand to know how you knew my son was in close contact.
As suspected, when I called the OSHW I learned that nobody had been to the school yet. Guess what, they ain't coming. CPS relies on a digital registry to gather this information. They rely on children to report who they remember sitting next to at 9:45, in reading class last Tues
The worst part about all of it was this woman and almost everyone I know - has no idea what is going on, no clue how wrong this tyranny is, no IDEA how hard it will be for many kids to feel safe outside of their mask. It breaks me to think of this.
I am ready to accept the calling. We have to speak up and we need to demand that people start thinking and stop robot"ing". I am sick to death of so many people refusing to look under the covers.
My son was at school today. I brought the principal flowers today. It's not her fault. But, if my pushing back and demanding answers causes her to get curious and have even one conversation with someone - I think that's progress. @EWoodhouse7@cdavi6cdavi6
I asked to see the law that states a principal can act for the OSHW. We all know there is no law that states OSHW can direct this either. @EWoodhouse7
if your school requires masks in Illinois then push back based on how DPH defines close contact @EWoodhouse7
