Your brain tries to converse energy by using shortcuts - habits - as we all know these are not without problems
Habits the 'Go System' are efficient and great for multitasking.
The 'Stop 🛑System' takes mental effort and is not as effective.
Behaviour change is limited by competing goals & environmental facts.
Aim for sustainable goals - prioritise the most important and start with these.
As with many things in life a plan can help optimise your habits.
Think about the obstacles you may encounter - particularly plan how you will overcome these.
Temptation is worse if something is closer.
You can strengthen your willpower improving your Stop 🛑 System. Don't over tax your Stop 🛑 System it will fail.
Remember if you fail it is part of the improvement process - don't be hard on yourself and keep trying!
Environment is important to help with behaviour change - can trigger behaviours.
Choose your friends very wisely (particularly on Twitter 😉). Avoid people who have habits you are trying to stop
