I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, no matter how big you think this story is you need to double it…Now, triple that. Let’s take a look at where this recent part is all heading (TLDR: Congress) and remember who is doing it. A wee coup thread. 🧵 👇🏻
It’s pretty fair to say that the amount of evidence that has been uncovered to date, tells us that the trump/Republican coup attempt to end democracy was a vast, wide-ranging conspiracy.
All we have to do is look at arrests, who the @January6thCmte wants to talk to, and who was around trump. We know that Oathkeepers are indicted for Seditious Conspiracy. That’s a big charge, and rarely used because coups are rare.
We’ve seen Proudboys indicted for Conspiracy too. Not Seditous Conspiracy like the Oathkeepers, just Conspiracy…for now. Think back to Jan 6, the violent images you remember came largely from these two groups. They moved with military precision.
So they planned. We’ve seen the draft letter Jeffrey Clark sent to GA (link) that argued state legislatures can appoint their own electors. Similar argument is made in the Eastman memo which also argues the Electoral Count Act is unconstitutional. justsecurity.org/wp-content/upl…
So *they* planned. We’ve seen a draft executive order purported to have been written by psychological warfare experts, Col Phil Waldron and Gen Mike Flynn that further promote the lie of a stolen election and would allow for the seizure of voting machines. politico.com/f/?id=0000017e…
We’ve seen Mike Flynn, Sidney Powell, Patrick Byrne and others in a meeting with trump on December 18th 2020 wherein they called for seizing voting machines. My favorite part is when trump leaves the room to get pigs in a blanket*.
So *they* planned. We’ve seen Rudy Giuliani, and Powell lose lawsuits because no fraud occurred, the plaintiffs had no standing, and mostly because there was no evidence to show the courts. Some of the plaintiff’s, even went on to become the very electors called for by Eastman.
Stop here for a moment, and just assess the above. It’s pretty big. It’s militias, lawyers, and intelligence operators all working toward the single goal of keeping trump, but more importantly, the Republicans in power. Think of what they were actually doing.
They tried to lay the foundation, using the DOJ, that sending fraudulent electors was perfectly fine. They were trying to perpetrate FRAUD. They were trying to strongarm Pence into telling the House of Representatives to nullify *our* election, and do theirs.
So *they* planned. Paul Gosar objected to the certification of Arizona. He chose to disenfranchise every single voter in his very own state. A state in which he himself was voted for. Ted Cruz was the Senator who rose with Gosar to also object.
I can still see Cruz standing there, bathing in the golf claps of the Republicans who were in the room, hanging his head so as to look humble, but desperately wanting it to continue. The look of disappointment as the clapping soon dissipates without a gaveled intervention.
So in order for this coup to have worked, Cruz had to know, Gosar had to know, Pence had to know, as you read in the Eastman memo, the Senate Pro Tempore was to fill in should Pence ‘recuse himself’ for some reason. Which means Chuck Grassley had to know.
During the insurrection, Rudy butt-dialed Sen Mike Lee looking for Sen Tommy Tuberville to tell him to try to keep stalling. So Tuberville had to know. The fact Rudy got Lee on the horn means he had at least had a recent contact with him as well, so perhaps Lee too knew.
On the other side of the Capitol, House minority leader Kevin McCarthy and Steve Scalise tried to prevent Speaker Nancy Pelosi from joining a lawsuit that was prepared for Justice Alito. Louie Gohmert sued Pence arguing Electoral Count Act unconstitutional. Why did they do that?
If that’s familiar to you, it’s because it was in the Clark letter. Gohmert was represented by a lawyer who was contracted to work for a Sidney Powell/Mike Flynn/Joe Flynn company (DTR). Gohmert was joined by all 11 fraudulent Arizona Electors. Rep Gohmert probably knew.
So *they* planned. Folks, we have a long way still to go. It is frustrating to see so blatant an attack on our country laid out before us, and not seeing everyone along the way held accountable. We may wonder ‘where is DOJ?’, or ‘what can we do?’
We need to understand everything described above. Our elected officials were in on this coup. If they knew and said nothing, they have failed their public trust. If they planned this or helped to orchestrate it in any way, is that not waging war against us?
We’ve yet to see any elected official held to account for their role in this coup and already in this thread, we’ve seen how big this story is. We’ve yet to see all depths. No matter how big you think it is, double it…now, triple that.
We can’t waste any time waiting, and hoping for a savior. We have to determine who we want to be. We have to decide if we are who we tell ourselves we are. Make sure you are registered to vote and vote.
Why do you think it is so important to those still beholden to all of the above to make it more difficult for you to vote? Why do you think they want to suppress your voice? Why do you think they want to stop you from voting at all cost?
It’s because they know the power of your vote. Right now the voting rights of millions are in peril because of only 2 votes. 2 votes can stop millions. That’s how powerful a vote is. Yours is more powerful than even that. Confirm you’re registered to vote and #RememberInNovember
We must see where this investigation is heading now that we know what they were up to. Oh, and we haven’t even gotten to who paid for it yet.
Adding this development. @January6thCmte provided, to a court of law, they have a good faith basis to believe trump committed crimes. It they also provide documentation that includes the names Ted Cruz and Josh Hawley.
It’s been a while since we’ve used the wayback machine. Let’s see how it holds up on a short trip. We’re going to go on a journey back to a time before trump was president.
Don’t get too excited. It’s to do with aid to Ukraine.
A wee thread🧵👇🏻
On July 28, 2016, in Cleveland at the Republican National Committee, the GOP removed a single issue from their party platform. Essentially, it became trump policy to no longer provide aid to Ukraine.
A delegate said it was taken out by trump’s people.
But that’s a bit awkward because the newly minted GOP Nominee eventually ended up telling Robert Mueller he didn’t recall. Strange because trump, has like a great memory. And his uncle was like, a physicist or something.🤷🏼♂️
There will no doubt be a lot said by smarter people than I about this ruling in the GA v trump et al. case, but I would like to offer two important thoughts I hope they don’t miss.
Firstly, please understand the danger. Look at what just happened. The whole country has been on edge awaiting this ruling because it determined whether or not a former president accused of some gangster shit, might get away with it because of some more gangster shit.
This dude is so dangerous to prosecute, a former GOVERNOR declined to be the special prosecutor because of safety concerns. This dude is so dangerous because he has a dangerous crew. I don’t how to lay this out clearly for people to understand so please bear with me as I try.
Have you heard of Project 2025? It’s a ‘Playbook’. You can read the whole “Mandate” for yourself at this link and I encourage you to do so. *Please* know who you’re voting for in November.
First thing to know: There is a Project 2025. This is important to know. It exists. It’s a plan. It’s coming day one of the next conservative presidency. I am not being hyperbolic. If you are seeing this, it will have some impact on your life. It’s designed to.
This is a Heritage Foundation joint. There are roughly 386 ‘contributors’ to Project 2025 and at least 48 of them are Heritage Foundation. That’s 12% of all contributors give or take some bad eyesight, counting, and maths and unknown crossover organizational alignments.
I was thinking about my dad the other day. He’s still here, he’s fine. I was just thinking about him.
WARNING STRONG LANGUAGE
My dad would tell me stories about guys like his dad. Guys like his dad fought in WWII. Guys like my dad, revered those guys.
A wee thread🧵👇🏻
The only reason the tv set growing up didn’t have the History Channel logo burned into it was because occasionally, I’d watch sports. The history channel had documentary after documentary of WWII. My dad likes the air battles. He would talk about “Those Guys”.
“Those Guys,” he’d say, “Those Guys sat in a bubble OUTSIDE the airplane, Joey!’ “Can you believe that? Imagine how cold it must have been!”
He was referring to the tail gunners on the screen.
You guys…I think I’m going to call it a year. I will begin my final thread of 2024 as I mean to end it, and that is conversationally and with gratitude. Thank you for all your continued dedication to self-determination and democracy.
I’m tired.
A wee 🧵👇🏻
This year was more difficult than last year. Things are getting harder. My balance is getting worse and my body is getting stiffer. I’ve had more falls this year than last. Speaking of falls, it seems more leaves fell in the yard this year than last.
The time change this year and its underreported havoc it wreaks on my medication is worse this year than last. I’ve torn my Achilles and my hamstring this year as opposed to no injuries last.
This is a wee thread. I tell you that now because there is no clever preamble, no fun intro to pique your interest. Just a simple request that you know I lack understand on this topic and make no judgments. I share it so those who can make sense of it hopefully do so.

On December 23rd of 2016, the United Nations adopted UN resolution number 2334. It is here for you to read. Please do so. If you don’t, know the gist is that this UN Security Council resolution stated that Israel’s settlements have no legal validity.
The history of this resolution is one that helps put into context some of what we may be seeing today. At the time, Barack Obama was President and Bibi Netanyahu was Prime Minister of Israel. vox.com/world/2016/12/…
