May I interrupt today’s doom scrolling with a good story about my dad from a couple of nights ago.🧵

This is my dad (Andre Bouvier) who happens to be 80 yrs old. He's leading a stranded car towards his farm during a terrible blizzard in Regina Saskatchewan a couple of days ago. How he got there is a pretty cool story.

This woman was caught in the blizzard, it got so bad she had no idea where she ended up when she could go no farther. She took a photo of the closest thing she could see, which was the Bouvier farm sign.

She decided to PING where she was to her town of Pence FB group which is a few miles away, for help to rescue her if possible!
At the same time, a guy named Phil in Vancouver who happens to also belong to the town of Pence FB group...

because he's also from there, sees the womans photo of the Bouvier farm sign and recognizes it!
He's friends with my brother Andre Jr. so he calls my brother to tell him about a woman in distress at the edge of his dad's farm!

So he calls Dad to tell him there's someone stranded near the end of the long driveway to the farm!! He went out on foot, found them and guided them to the farm.
Turns out there were 2 other cars stranded as well! So my dad went back a 2nd time to lead them back as well.

7 people in all were lead to safety. My dad and his wife Christine welcomed them, fed them and they all slept over until early morning when they were able to leave safely!
All because Phil happened to be checking out his home town group Facebook page from Vancouver.

Update: Spoke with him again, he is very touched by how far this story is reaching. He’s quite amazed and appreciates all the love going his way. He told me a little more about the night and how truly bad the weather was and was glad to get them to safety. Thank you all.
