Genting Skyworlds is finally opening its doors on the 8th of February. I know a lot of y’all have been waiting for this day.

Here’s a thread of tips and pointers from someone who got early access to the theme park:

1. Wear comfy clothes and bear in mind that some rides will get you wet. My colleague got so wet on the first ride that she could POUR out water from her handbag.

Oh and maybe avoid wearing hats/caps cos you’ll have to take them off on most rides.

2. You don’t need a locker (except for when at the Bootcamp area). I really liked the fact that most rides have a designated shelf where you can leave your things but if you leave valueables ke apa, it can be a bit risky.

This is the bootcamp area. Basically you’ll have to wear a harness and get to try out different activities like wall climbing and they have a flying fox coaster. Super cool!

3. Most rides are more suitable for adults. Thrill-seekers would love the theme park cos so many rides will flip you around in the sky and all. If you’re scared of heights and don’t like spinny rides, you might have to sit out on a lot of the activities.

4. Best rides for thrill-seekers:

- Independence Day: Defiance (best gila babi, basically a show followed by a 4D experience)
- ESD Global Defender (you’re a pilot spinning in the air)
- Alpha Fighter Pilots (another pilot spinning in the air ride but i loved it)

5. Best rides for families:
- Rio Carnaval Chaos! (Basically spinny cup ride)
- Epic Voyage To The Moon (It’s a boat cruise but has fun dips and turns)
- Epic Hummingbird Flyers (You go up and down in the air, avoiding water from the fountain)

6. Rides you can skip if you don’t have much time:
- Blue Sky Carousell (its just a merry go round)
- Night At The Museum: Midnight Mayhem (This ride was really underwhelming. You sit in a cart and shoot at a screen for points and that’s it)

7. Got a lot of food choices at the themepark! I would recommend getting one of these sets with a plastic cup from the burger stall/harry ramsden fish and chips cos for RM35, you’ll get a meal and a souvenir to bring home 🥳

8. Most importantly, download the SkyWolrds app before you go.

You’ll be able to reserve your spot on the rides in advance and get your photos taken by the theme park employees saved in the app. Queue for people who book for the rides pun is a different lane.

Eh ada salah gambar in the thread oh well. This is all i can think of for now. Before I get questions I can’t answer, I don’t work for Genting hehehe. All in all, i think it really is a great theme park and i hope you guys will get to go and enjoy it as much as I did!

Oh yeah one more thing, I’m not sure what their operating hours are going to be like, but we went from 11am til about 3pm and didn’t get to go on all the rides although there was no queue at all. So if you think you might have to miss out on some rides, go on the best ones first!
