Frens, this announcement got some critical feedback, and it is good feedback:

1. We shouldn't endorse a validator for delegation
2. We should be pushing for more decentralized node and validator operations in general

We're making it right, here's how:
1. We made a mistake here since this is the only validator option we've introduced on the blog.

We have corrected the language as it came off as an endorsement for a specific validator and that was not our intention.

The devs will not endorse a specific validator over others.
2. A lot of people in the comments have been throwing shade at the use of dedicated node providers and have been suggesting that we commit resources to @akashnet_

We hear you, and we'll follow through on that.

We want to give options, and here's why:
@akashnet_ is meant for general compute

it takes work to run production grade services and still requires DIY

@CoinbaseCloud is like @AlchemyPlatform, enabling application devs to spend more time on code, not on infra

We will support both because we believe in UX and options
@akashnet_ @CoinbaseCloud @AlchemyPlatform Lastly, to clarify, this is not the only commercial node as a service option.

There's @BlockdaemonHQ, @POKTnetwork and @Figment_io to name a few. There will be a proper ecosystem portal to show you the options available near launch.
@akashnet_ @CoinbaseCloud @AlchemyPlatform @BlockdaemonHQ @POKTnetwork @Figment_io And remember

You can always opt for a cloud provider or @akashnet_ or even your local datacenter

We just have to release a tutorial to make it ez
