Everyone involved in giving the Olympics to Communist China should be bitterly ashamed of themselves as these tyrannical antics unfold. You whitewashed slavery and genocide. You put young athletes in an impossible position and made them instruments of propaganda.
You did more to undermine the cause of human rights and liberty around the world than anyone who isn't actually holding a smoking gun or the master's end of a leash. You're helping China and its ally Russia discredit the entire CONCEPT of human rights.
You gave a vicious authoritarian regime even more leverage over the politics and business of the free world, and they WILL make aggressive use of it. You've got American "news" networks parroting Communist propaganda. You're helping China get away with unleashing a pandemic.
You've got the speaker of the U.S. House telling free men and women to bite their tongues in the face of monstrous evil, or else their tyrannical captor/hosts might make them suffer. What more complete submission to tyranny could be imagined than the one you helped engineer?
You never should have let this happen. You could have stopped it. It would have cost a lot of money and sadly disappointed teams of fine young athletes. IT WOULD HAVE BEEN WORTH IT. And now you give decent people no choice but to turn away from the whole sickening spectacle.
Congratulations, greedy Olympic organizers and sponsors - you've tainted the ancient sporting event for generations to come. You've mounted a contest that no one with a conscience can watch. You validated the Communist criticism of Western weakness and hypocrisy. Bravo. /end
