A letter seeking a religious exemption from the COVID-19 vaccination warned that forcing a worker to be vaccinated would be an “affront to a Christian.”

It can be purchased online for $195 as part of a vaccine exemption “concierge program.”

Letters like that have become tools for California employees seeking exemptions from workplace vaccine mandates.

They raise questions about what constitutes a deeply-held religious belief and what employers can do about a request that may not be sincere.

Through public records requests, Times reporters @laura_nelson and @ConnorASheets amassed more than 2,200 pages of records related to religious waivers from vaccine rules.

They show just how complicated it can be to review vaccine exemption requests.

The FDA will review the application and convene a panel of outside advisors in mid-February to debate the data latimes.com/science/story/…
Shots for children in this age group are one-tenth the size of the adult doses.

Pfizer will have to specially bottle the extra-low doses so vaccine providers don’t mix them up with the two other dosages already being used latimes.com/science/story/…
Pfizer previously said study results showed two of the extra-low doses appeared strong enough to protect babies but weren’t strong enough for 2- to 4-year-olds.

The company added a third shot to the study, but results are not expected until late March latimes.com/science/story/…
