Poppy Seed "Tea", a 🧵for the #CPP and anyone in acute #pain as well as anyone experiencing other conditions treatable with opioids.

WARNING: PST has killed people via respiratory failure. This is neither chamomile nor cannabis and should not be taken lightly or recklessly.
Don't use this alone if at all possible. It may be a folk remedy, but it can be as deadly as heroin or fentanyl. The dose makes the poison. Have naloxone on hand. Have a phone nearby. Know CPR. If this sounds a bit excessive, it's because my intent is not to encourage self-harm.
It's to encourage self-healing in a world where people are denied effective pain relief and forced to suffer everything from tooth extractions to bone metastases in the name of the drug war.

PST is not a true tea or tisane, but a method of extracting morphine and codeine.
You will need water (tap is fine) lemon juice, and at least 1/4 lb poppy seeds. Pour the seeds into an empty 2L soda bottle, milk jug, or anything with a tight lid. Cover the seeds with water and add 1-2 oz lemon juice, depending on how much you like the taste of that.
This can sit overnight, or you can shake the bottle for at least a minute, then strain out the seeds. How much of the "tea" you will need for a dose depends on many factors: how much liquid and how many seeds you use, how long they soak, seed quality, your tolerance and weight...
Start low and slow, as with any drug. I suggest drinking 1/4 to 1/2 cup and waiting 30 min for the effects before drinking more. I recommend adding fresh ginger, which makes it taste better imho and also may help you avoid nausea, which is a common side effect. Taken with food...
...the tea will likely take longer to work, but it should work as well as when taken on an empty stomach. Constipation is also a common side effect. Some people get itchy. If this progresses to serious itching/hives, you may be allergic to it. Get medical attention.
More warnings: this liquid contains morphine and codeine. It will show up on a drug test. It is highly addictive. You can become dependent on it. There will be withdrawal symptoms if you use it frequently long-term and then stop. But it's a highly effective analgesic.
The above is, for legal reasons, not medical advice. Your results *will* vary by batch. Stay safe. Being in pain is not a crime. #NoMoreDrugWar.
