#Lucid dreamers and dream journalers, where you at? Just experienced one during a nap that I spent the last 30 minutes writing about. Sharing below (thread): A dream about choice.
The dream was about a young man (experienced through my own eyes) who went through a lot of suffering that changed the history of him and those around him.
After enduring the suffering in his dream he woke up from a daytime nap/sleep in study hall, realizing that none of the heartache that he endured had happened yet. All he knew of was the pain that he may eventually have to suffer,…
but not of anyone else’s pain that he’d cause by avoiding it (only that it would be magnified by tenfold and may cause a web of events he couldn’t foresee). All of his friends and family would end up having to endure pain and suffering if he chooses to avoid his own…
The dream started with him making a decision avoiding a bully at school that would would beat him and leave him bloodied behind the school. After avoiding the bully a classmate’s mother died in a horrible traffic accident that gained nationwide media coverage…
After him seeing what his classmate went through, he decided that his pain was would be easier to take on since he knew what would happen and that he’s lived it before. He learned that happiness of his loved ones was important over the pain that he’d suffer throughout…
(This suffering would range between getting a paper cut, or stubbing his toe, to him losing his own father to an accident at work). Throughout the dream he’d experience pain, but also realized that the pain also brought many friendships and other beautiful moments…
with friends that he wouldn’t have had otherwise. He gained friendship with his bully. He also gained the affection of a young woman in his class who helped him through the pain of losing his father…
In the dream he’d experience great pain but would keep pushing on until the final one that was shrouded in fog in his mind. When he arrives at this cross point he finally realizes the choice he had to make…
He’d have to choose to lose his own life or would lose the life of a girl he had fallen in love with. He chooses to sacrifice himself and they have a moment together, a shared experience between them at the mall in a photo booth…
The last scene was of an up close camera of the photo-booth picture of him and his lover. It then zooms out to it sitting beside a picture of his would be graduation photo at a shrine with candles and food surrounding it. Then I woke up.
