It is pointless to try and explain historical sources throughout history which attest to Bharat being one, single entity. Such logical reasoning based on facts is quite irrelevant to propaganda peddlers.
What is interesting is how these “theories”, laughable as they may be, all tend to come out at around the same time. Not two days since Pappu Gandhi spouted the same drivel in parliament that the #ToolkitGang seems to have been activated once again.
Another interesting observation. I’ve noticed that all such propaganda peddlers seem to have some things in common - a lack of general well being in life, healthy hatred of peace and harmony, extreme casteism and most of all, an existence in a universe very different from this.
Of course, one can have a personal opinion on the merits or otherwise of Lata Mangeshkar. What is quite unbelievable is how even the death of a true national icon can be spun around to spout such historical fallacies to satisfy one’s own wet dreams.
What truly troubles such elements is that India, despite all the prevalent wisdom of the time, has remained united and thrived - quite in contrast to such characters who almost always tend to look back on a life of failures and frustration.
Long may it continue to thrive.
Another point that the quoted gentleman gets spectacularly wrong is about Lata's politics. Most of the govt awards she got were during the rule of Congress, which stands for the diametric opposite of Lata's RSS-based politics....
...Before making wildly false claims, it would have helped to at least take the trouble to open Wikipedia once - the ignorance would not have been laid out for all to see in such a manner 🤦♂️🤦♂️

1) This is a neat little thread, you guys can read it. There is one thing, though, which I want to harp on.
@greatbong says, "The result of your actions...is not in your hands". Most summaries of the Gita will say, "Do not expect any results for your actions"...
2) Which is accurate? What does Lord Krishna say? Does he want you to be a zombie and "work" without desire? Or does he want you to be powerless, not have any control over your life?
An examination of the verse at hand makes things crystal clear.
3) But before that, I must confess, this dilemma troubled me for years. Whichever way you look at it, the Lord, it seemed, was calling it all pointless.
Then my father, as fathers almost always do, shone the spotlight. For someone else's benefit. I just happened to be there.
