You have a fundamental right to be able to travel around Canada, leave, and re-enter Canada.
The Constitution Act (1982) protects you from the overreach of institutions. These are individuals rights to protect you from The Man.
When politicians say they have created travel policies because YOU don't have the right to make other people sick they are making that up out of thin air.
You don't have the right to not get sick. People are going to spread disease, it is a natural phenomenon.
Almost every workplace in Ontario now has a vaccination policy. Some are lucky and have employers who allow them to take RATs prior to coming to work. Some are even luckier that their employer pays for those tests.
Time for an anecdotal story.
In February of 2021 my employer told our staff that we were jumping ahead of the line for vaccinations.
Vaccinations was "voluntary" however if you were unvaccinated and caught COVID you would no longer be granted free time off, you would have to use your sick days.
By June 2021 that policy changed, it didn't matter if you were vaccinated or unvaccinated, you had to use sick days. Many people would have waited to be vaccinated if they had known that switch was going to be made, and made so quickly.
Why did you get vaccinated?
Did you do the right thing to protect fellow Canadians, or did you want to live a life free of hassle?
They spent the past three days stoking fear that HCWs workers and hospitals would be under attack and Bill C-3 was all that could protect them.
Here’s a tweet by @drandrewb on February 3rd, 2021 invoking Police action.
On the morning of February 5th, 2021 @drandrewb posted this tweet of a seemingly serene street with nary a racist transphobic bloodthirsty truck driver in sight.
Yet.
This of course is not just any street. It is University Avenue in Toronto, specifically where Toronto General Hospital is located.
I started stockpiling food, clothing, toothpaste, batteries, bleach, various types of emergency radios, sanitary supplies, water purification tablets and filters, you name it in early January of 2020.
I was scared of the mysterious pneumonia.
All of this was done in secret without my wife knowing. She rarely ventured down into our basement crawl space where I hid everything.
Part of me didn’t want to alarm her (maybe this would be nothing). Part of me was embarrassed I was acting irrationally. I spent thousands of $.
If you were to look at his profile you’ll notice he immediately mentions he is an ER MD yet he still has time to host a CBC podcast and write books, and have his own website.
Judging by his tweets you would assume he’s run off his feet in an Ontario ER.
Bonus pronoun pts.
Well let’s check out @NightShiftMD’s website to see where he is an MD.
Oh look at that right on the homepage he is an “ER DOCTOR” first and foremost. But where?
It should be noted this cartoon is also on his webpage which I guess narcissists think is endearing.
