I filed a FOIA request in 2020 seeking "All email correspondence with the keywords "Westbridge Technologies", or "NSO Group" including attachments, from 1st January 2015..."
NYPD said they were "unable to locate records responsive to your request."
Here's their response: "In regard to the document(s) which you requested, this unit is unable to locate records responsive to your request based on the information you provided." a860-openrecords.nyc.gov/request/view/F…
Terrific reporting by @josephfcox - essentially confirming that Pegasus and Phantom are the same thing and that Westbridge is the US arm of NSO.

A bombshell report out of Israel says that Israeli police used NSO Group's Pegasus to spy on businessmen, activists, journalists, politicians, and even Prime Minister Netanyahu's family.
Netanyahu made Pegasus a cornerstone of his diplomacy, signing billion-dollar deals with Pegasus secretly tucked in, to warm relations in the Middle East and elsewhere.
Back at home, the police were spying on his family using... Pegasus.
Absolutely despicable. Israeli police used Pegasus spyware to spy on disabled activists. (Google Translate)
BREAKING: The FBI is probing a Russian cybersecurity firm that allegedly has major clients in the US. There are concerns that the company's products could be a backdoor for Russian intelligence. I spoke with more than a dozen sources over 6 months:
Infotecs was founded by Andrey CHAPCHAEV, a former senior KGB research official who is still the largest shareholder. The company has numerous licenses with Russian intelligence and Russian state bodies. The licenses are not shown on the English version of the website...
In Sept 2018, the US Commerce Department put Infotecs on an export ban list, saying that Infotecs was had “enabled the activities of malicious Russian cyber actors.”
